Guys,
I will be deleting the SBTB POLL BOOTH BOARD and replacing it with a new one I have in mind. However, I do still love polls and we are going to have ONE poll a month with the help of our very own forum member tatfan! (Thank you again!)
To make it easier on her, you can send your ideas to her. And she will be responsible of creating a POLL OF THE MONTH each month.
So, since August is almost over, I've gone ahead and created one for this month.
Tatfan will begin with September's poll of the month. So if you want to help her out, send her some ideas to work with.
Anyways, what do you think about this month's poll? Do you think a SBTB:THE MUSICAL can succeed? Why or why not?

I honestly don't know. I'm trying to picture it in my mind, but I don't know how it would turn out. I thinks it's definitely possible to have one, but as far as it succeeding, I just don't know.

I voted yes. I don't know how long it would stick around, but I'm sure it'd be great. The SBTB cast is made up of every single type of character you could think of. Add some music, dancing, and comedy, and it'd be a hit.
Now of course this wouldn't be with the original cast...you've got to remember that. But High School Musical - it's basically just an updated SBTB, you would just have to make it more clear that it was a SBTB cast if it was done.

That's what I was thinking Barb...it would be like High School Musical. I also agree it should be on TV. And would I like to see another "ZACK" and "Kelly"? I don't know....the actors did so well. Its hard to picture other actors identify really well to how the original created the characters. HHmmm....

yeah id love to see it happen but they would have to get great actors to fill the original casts shoes. that would be the hardest part i think.

You've all stated the reasons I voted "I don't know". I don't think one of the originals would even make a cameo. Seeing other actors play these roles would be weird. lol
If it happened and it was televised, I would watch it. The fact that a crew member is doing this brings me confidence because he knows the importance of the show. So in that aspect we wouldn't have to worry about the it being mocked.
But, because it wouldn't contain the TOC, I have to honestly stick with my vote.

I think it could work. It might be strange to see totally different characters, but I think the show had the right blend of characters so that it could work. After all there was quite a bit of singing and dancing in saved by the bell over the years. Maybe the muscial could have a new version of the hot sundaes.

yea it would be cool to see it but would it work NOOOOOO!! first off the cast wouldnt be the same and plus it just wouldnt work only songs that go good with SBTB is the typical ones from the eppy's but it was a good idea but wont work  |

nah, to be honest i can't see it working... SBTB should just live on as it is... it doesn't need anything more... just let it rest in peace, in fond memory and DVD M |

I hope it would succeed!
I'd certainly go to see it if it came to the West End and I think most English people my age would probably think it was a hilarious idea as they all remember the show fondly.
As for widespread popularity though, I doubt it would ever beat the mass appeal of other shows, there are hundreds of shows performed every day and I doubt many people (apart from us guys!) would choose to see SBTB: The Musical above one of the big name shows. ;D

It sounds really weird, And the only people that might be in it from the original would be Belding, Even he's questionable. I don't know. I'd check it out if it was on TV but probably wouldn't like it that much
