I meant why she initially dated them....of course Zack was always there in the end, but when they were together, or attempted to date...he always did something to screw up his chance. Exactly. Yeah, like I mentioned, Kelly was wrong about them being interest in a mature relationship. But she seemed to *think* they were. And Zack was plenty immature along the way as well. Like when he finally won over Kelly and asked her to go steady...only to blow her off to go after the school nurse (like he even had a chance!). Zack's also the one who couldn't decide between her and Leslie in TCY.

I hate to disagree...but on this board...yes...this must be analyzed!!!! lol...the show was goofy but did have a sense of right and wrong...when a character did something wrong or lied..they paid a price...except Kelly..she screwed people all around and never really paid much of a price..always came out on top..and given that the show probably appealed to 9-13 year old girls, they learned that if you're pretty enough, wear enough makeup and are enough of a tease you get away with anything....BOOOOOO!!!!! Bad SBTB...Bad!

Maybe the show was more realistic than it let on -- pretty girls like Kelly seldom ever pay the price in real life But actually, I do think Kelly got her comeuppance for her mistakes -- she kissed Jeff and broke up with Zack...and then Jeff cheated on her and broke her heart in turn. She ditched Zack in College for Lasky, but she redeemed herself by ditching her semester abroad to marry Zack, knowing full well how hard it would be to pull off. As for Johnny Dakota, Zack practically set them up. And I don't think it's fair to call Kelly a "tease." I think she simply had two great guys pursuing her and couldn't decide which one to date. Slater and Zack kinda brought trouble on themselves by (frankly) objectifying her and treating her like a "trophy." Let's not forget, it was actually Zack and Slater who arranged the "dance-off," not Kelly.

I have to agree with the people who posted MAX. The guy was the biggest dud on the show. It seemed like it was a bad comid/magician whose agent booked him on the show and the guy didn't even try to blend in or relate to the kids in a real way. I'll do a lame magic trick, now give me my paycheck was pretty much his motto. The only thing I found funny is that once he did his obligatory horrible magic trick, he wouldn't even ask the kids what they wanted to order. He'd just walk off after the stupid trick. Come one bro, at least try to stay in character.

I think this thread has gone off topic. And it's become so bad that we are bashing the characters a little too far. I have decided to lock it. Actually, I should have locked it a long time ago. Sorry guys.
