Apologies if this sounds stupid but were palm springs, maliibu beach and hawaiian style all in one summer and if so how come slaters with jessie in hawaiian but not the other two? In what order did these vacations take place? Also I noticed that Lisa and Kelly were wearing the same dresses in palm springs as they did in murder mystery. I heard they used to shoot two episodes a day to save money. So I'm assuming both those episodes were filmd on the same day on location?

Well...I don't know if they were "meant" to be the same summer.

Palm Springs and The Malibu Sands episodes...well, they were during the same season, but I don't think you are suppose to look at it that way. You can never do that with SBTB. There were a lot of inconsistencies.

If anything, I think the Malibu Sands episodes were a break from "reality." You had the school episodes, then came the Malibu Sands episodes, then came the Palm Springs episodes. While Palm Springs wasn't in the school, I found it to follow SBTB more accurately than the Malibu episodes...not sure if others agree. I mean the Malibu episodes did...it's just with Stacey and everything, they just transitioned their attention more than usual. It was more focused on Zack and didn't really deal with the others like the rest of the show.

The Hawaiian Movie was meant to be a final farewell with the whole gang. It was the last thing to be filmed with everyone all together. Although the mentioning of going back to school throughout the whole movie, doesn't go hand in hand. I do think it was meant to be during the summer between junior and senior year, but like I said, was the last thing to be filmed.

So...in the end, don't try to make sense of SBTB. LOL I guess they played kids for fools and didn't think we'd notice in the end. hahaha

I always placed the Palm Springs episodes during spring break -- which would fit (unless I'm forgetting something?).

All I know is that the "summer" episodes were filmed at the Santa Monica Beach Club(I know this because I lived in Santa Monica and to this day you can look at those Green umbrellas,etc and see where they shot it. The Palm Springs episodes were shot I believe at the LA Quinta resort in Palm Springs(there is even a quick shot of the club sign). I do however know that the summer episodes were in Santa Monica at the Beach Club. I even went and rode my bike down there..it was really trippy seeing all those places where the show was shot.

Actually, as I recall, the shot of the club sign is for the Marriott Desert Springs, Palm Desert.

The pool side and golf course still look the same! I'd love to drop by someday and do a SBTB nostalgia vacation there...when I have the money, I mean. Ha.

You should call the Santa Monica Beach Club and when they answer, say, "Oops...wrong number by the sea!" then giggle and hang up.
