i just heard that they are planning on having a 2 hour movie. gina davis said it on the view today. she said maybe this will help get the show back on tv!

I know all about that. I just didn't want to post anything about it. I still find it upsetting that this ground breaking show was canceled.  But, I won't get into my reasons for the cancelation again.  |

Yes, I also agree. I didn't watch the show, those aren't really my style of shows, but I totally agree. In fact, it's hard for networks to really tell which shows are getting the most viewers because they go by the Nielsen Ratings. With the Nielson Ratings, only people who have the Nielsen box and are "Nielsen Families" get to be apart of the ratings. So the average person like me doesn't get to participate in the ratings, therefore, my favorite show could be cancelled just because everyone in America doesn't have the stupid box. LOL ...Oh and the people who do have the Nielsen box are required not to tell anyone so it doesn't affect the ratings by having friends "make" you watch their show, etc. So you could have a friend that is a member and you wouldn't even know.
I personally think we should get rid of the Nielsen system and go through our cable/satellite services. I'm sure they can turn in a report that says who is watching what.

I already knew about this.  But, if I hear or find out anymore about it, I will post about it. I do apologize for not revealing the information.  Barb, I totally agree with you! There are shows that I have enjoyed so much that were canceled that I know shouldn't have been. |

I really don't know why they don't just use the actual ratings, like they do here. They can tell exactly how many TVs are watching which channel and when...maybe your system is different.
The Nielsen families obviously have impeccably poor taste!! Haha! Were it not for them, great shows like CiC might be saved!
