Hey guys, Is it just me or did u guys find that Dustin said a lot of almost negative comments about a lot of the things he was commenting on.. I'll give u some examples.. in the Rockumentary episode, when they ask Zack where he gets his inspiration, and Zack answers "Girls" Dustin says, the producers, then he goes on to say, because we were like puppets except for the hand and the discomfort. Or when Zack says something about being "Friends Forver", Dustin laughs and goes, "friends forever, yeah right". A lot of the time you can actually hear Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding) cut in and go "Dustin, Dustin".. like you're going too far kinda thing. I was surprised to hear him have so many more negative comments on things, then he did positive.. I think he was trying to be sarcastically funny, but personally I would've liked to of heard commentary from Mark Paul and Tiffani. What did you guys think??

When I read that and heard it on DVD, I remembered I watched a show from TechTv last year. On the show, I saw, they interviewed Mark Paul Gosselaar. I think it was from Disney California. Anyway, Mark Paul talked about how he love electronics and he is the only one from the cast that has T1 connection in his trailer. I think the host was not interested about that, then almost at the end, he asked Mark Paul, If he still email Screech? Mark Paul's face blushed and he laughed. He said "No. Is he still alive"? and he laughed. Then the host asked If he keeps in touch with STBT. Mark Paul said he busy lately. I think the host want to talk more about SBTB but Mark Paul said the NYPD Blue is the one paying his bills not SBTB.
I think he doesn't want to talk about SBTB. That's all.

I don't think it was really that much being negative as it was making fun of the times. You know? We all know that it's a cheesy show, but he said numerous times that you gotta love SBTB. I don't look at it as being negative, just having a good time pointing out the cheesiness LOL You know?

Hey Yeah I guess maybe they want to talk more about the present rather than the past.. like mark wanting to talk more about NYPD Blue because it is his job now.. I agree with you, and don't blame them that they want to have interviews about what's going on now.. but it would've been cool to hear some commentary from mark paul and tiffani, dont ya think??

Yeah i'm sure it wasn't meant to be negative as it was just poking fun at the times.. i do agree with that, because i'm sure they're all proud of SBTB even if they don't talk about it too much in interviews and all.. Looking back on the some of the wacky outfits and all lol..

I agree with you. But that's Dustin. I'm guessing he's very sarcastic. However, overall he did an awesome job. I enjoyed listening to his jokes, insights and admiration (for the most part) of the show.

Hey Erika! yeah I totally agree that most of the insight was cool.. like telling us about the bubblegum on the wall behind the door of The Max, or how most of the time the food wasn't even real and they weren't even eating it lol! Definitley some cool SBTB behind the scenes info! I think that there were some comments he could've left out too but most was okay! Either way, i'm so excited to have it on dvd lol!

No, I don't think its negative at all. Its kinda funny. I mean SBTB cast technically grew up in front of the camera until they got older and they are still doing great! I mean how many teen shows casts out there, that still do well acting in their adult life? I think the SBTB cast did well acting in their adult life.
Can you imagine, when you were growing up during, you teens its on tv until you get older your still in front of camera? SBTB cast cannot deny their past because SBTB made them popular. Who would have thought 10 years ago, that all SBTB shows will be sold on DVD? None!!!
I think SBTB has a great cast! I know it feels cheesy sometimes watching them, since I'm older now, but I love it no matter what.

Hey! yeah i totally AGREE with what you said about how they are doing an AMAZING job acting now and how they grew up in front of us acting in a show that did jump start their careers, a GREAT show I might add I was just noticing that when i was watching seasons 3 and 4 with dustin's commentary, a lot of the times he would give us some awesome insight into behind the scenes, but he also did say some i guess you could say "Sarcastic" comments about some of the shows. I don't think it was meant negatively towards anyone, I agree with Erika who said that it's "just Dustin" and how he is looking back on it and making those comments, more in a "look at our outfits/hair, it was the 90's" kinda jokes!! I agree with ya though, SBTB RULES!! I'm sooo GLAD it's out on DVD!

You know, even though it gets cheesy I still love SBTB. Maybe because its just the right the cheese!! LOL! I mean its not cheesy enough that you will get sick of it. When I think of it, are there any teen shows like SBTB that is released on DVD? I don't think so. I hope they release Parker Lewis Can't Loose on DVD someday.
Dustin is just joking on commentary, but I love his voice now!!! It doesn't Screech at all.
Speaking of teens growing up on tv. I'm glad SBTB turned out well. I mean there were other teens celebrities in the 80s, that got into bad habits like drugs and drinking. I don't hear any about that on SBTB cast at all.
During the late 90s, I searched each SBTB cast name on the internet and I can't find enough information, except Tiffani, because she is from 90210. Mark Paul said in one of the interview, it was hard for him to get jobs because of his SBTB history. They thought he could not do anything but be teeny bopper. Luckily now, he has fans that are older now. I think some or most of his fans that are older now, were his fans during SBTB years.
Can't wait to have SBTB DVD next year.

It sounds as though dustin is really bitter about his Saved By The Bell memories. Maybe he's mad because the rest of the cast doesn't want to do a reunion episode. Does he honestly think he would have been a big-time tv or movie star if he hadn't ever acted on Saved By The Bell? It's really disheartening to hear of his bitterness.

I don't really think that Dustin meant for his commentaries to be negative. I think he was just trying to be funny, making jokes about the past, etc. I really liked his commentaries. I thought they were really interesting, informative, AND funny!

Exactly he probably realized how boring Peter Engele is and figured he would make his commentary more entertaining by being funny in a sarcastic kind of way
