LOL! Zack is perfect! ...But on the matter of the bathrooms, they evidently had communal bathrooms in TCY! I would have liked to have seen them, I'm curious about different kinds of college accomodation! LOL! Ours are communal, about 6 students share 3 showers, toilets etc. Its not dirty though because the cleaners come in every morning! Yippee!

On the topic of dorms - I was always shocked at The College Years (and other American shows that have dorms).

I live in college at the moment and we all have our own bedrooms. Sharing with two other people, even if it was Zack and Slater, would be horrendous! They have such a huge living room, why didn't the college make that into more rooms so that they wouldn't need bunkbeds! I guess colleges don't want people to have TOO much privacy!

Also, it bothers me that so many colleges have a girls' section and a boys' section in their dorms. In ours, everybody is together...not in the same bed....but in the same "landing".

On our "landing" we have three girls, three boys, a kitchen, three showers, a bath and a partridge in a pear tree. We all get on great and its like the SBTB gang living together - so why segregate people? Can't adults be trusted? If they can't be trusted, so what? Maybe some people want to be apart from the opposite sex but isn't it better that we all learn to happily co-exist?

Umm I'd shoot myself if I had to live on the same floor as the guys. No offense guys, but you guys can do some pretty stupid stuff and you guys are loud. LOL The guys on the floor above us were always bowling...with random objects, including using themselves as the bowling ball sliding down on garbage bags with water. Yeah...it wasn't pretty, and they got in major trouble for that stunt cause it was messy.

But yeah, our bathrooms were clean too, they just got messy. We had cleaning ladies that came a couple times a day...We just had let's see about 12 rooms, 2 girls in each...so 24 girls sharing one bathroom.

That number of people with one bathroom is inhumane, Barb!

I love living with guys, we're all as loud and stupid as each other. In the past, when I've lived with just girls the atmosphere was much less balanced and there was just constant petty squabbles and whining about boyfriends, which I can't stand. Most of my friends are either guys or 'masculine' females (no, not all lesbians - I mean outspoken and dominant personalities)! Being segregated seems too much like boarding school for my liking.

I need to take some more photos of my college life... in two weeks I sit my last ever exam and in a month I graduate.

hahah barb totally agreed! my sister goes away and she shared a bathroom with 4 girls. i saw it and it was pretty dinky, and they had to clean it themselves so of corse it looked pretty nasty! i cant live like that especially when i have to study and do homework!

The bathroom was huge...so it wasn't that bad. Just sometimes crazy. There were probably about 10 shower stalls and 10 bathroom stalls. Wasn't bad. Lots of sinks.

Now it definitely sounds like boarding school! Do you all brush your teeth together like in the olden days? We have our own sinks, thank God - a dirty sink is one of my pet hates!

I don't recommend communal bathrooms. Sure, they get cleaned, but during the weekend when they're not, they can be insanely disgusting.
