please Please PLEASE don't think I'm a racist by this comment but IMHO, Essence Atkin's character was a token black character to please audiences. Unfortunately it worked better for Lisa (she rocked!) and the masses wanted Kelly back, just MHO though. Um, maybe not a racist comment, but can be classed as stereotypical. I don't see anything wrong with having a diverse television cast. It's not to please the audience, rather exemplify what America is all about. That's my take. |

I just don't think her character worked. I know it was in the process of being developed, but Kelly works much better because of the history behind her character. ;D |

I don`t thinks Essence Atkins- Danielle Marks fit in with SBTB. Bringing in Kelly was a very smart decision. Think of it this way...if she had`nt had left would we had ever seen Zack and Kelly get married? Waht would SBTB be withough the grand wedding finale of Zack and Kelly?
