Do you mean the character Alex, or her voice? because i like the character, but her voice is a little annoying.

Alex was annoying as hell. She was screechy and whiney. I would have never dated her if I was Slater. Barb is right Kristy was more his type. Kristy or Carla is the type of girl he should date. Jessie was cool and all but in the end they were just way too different. Constant arguing is never a good thing. |

Maybe it was her 'off' ways or something, but I liked Alex. Certainly beats the everyday, ordinary. Though I have to admit, her voice got to me sometimes too.
And I think she matched with Slater well.

I couldn't stand Jessie period, and she was the TOTAL opposite of Slater's character. He made a better match with Alex, though they weren't exactly completely compatible either. I'm sure Slater could have been better off with someone else, but between these 2, I have to go with Alex. Jessie made a better pair with Graham, the styrofoam cup-hating, save-the-whales campaigning, environment-loving guy from the Cut Day episode.

I enjoyed every character of TCY...including Alex. Sure her voice is a little odd, but she's suppose to be different. I thought she was funny. I'd like to think that in the end Slater ended up with Carla, Jessie ended up with some man head of a special interest group or a professor at a college, and Alex ended up with one of her drama classmates. lol

I liked Alex too. She brought something different to the show. She was one of TCY's unique characters.

I don't think Jessie or Alex were right for Slater. Why did he always go for the overly emotional girls?! I agree with you on that. He never seemed to go date anyone who at least shared his intrests |

I don't know about this one. When it comes to Slater and Jessie, that was high school. And all the arguing that went on between them, I think, was the fun part of their relationship and I think they liked that.
Slater and Alex happened in The College Years. They were involved in a more mature relationship. Or supposed to be.
So if I had to pick between the 2 of them, I go with Slater and Jessie! Their was argueing, but I think they liked it because it made their relationship more interesting. Because of the way Slater was and the way Jessie was, it made for a good match.
Remember the Time Capsule episode? Slater said that Jessie was 1 of his 2 favorites things to happen to him!
