What if TCY got picked up for a second season? Do you think they the show would of had a good story line? Or do you think after Zack and Kelly got married there wasn't much further they could of gone with the show?

If TCY were to have gone a second (and third and fourth) season, I think that the marriage storyline would have been dropped. Zack and Kelly would have gotten engaged, but complications would have somehow prevented them from getting married, thus continuing the college storylines for the characters. Because it wasn't picked up to continue the story, it's very likely NBC rushed to get the movie in production to finish off the series with the wedding.

I don't think they would have even got engaged. I think they would have dated on and off and had their share of ups and downs...and when they were ready to call the series quits, then they would have got married to give it that good ending. Kind of like Ross and Rachel on Friends haha
Personally, I would have rather seen them date more and develop a more serious relationship than to have what we ended up with. Sure, it's great (and I'm not really disappointed), but it was rushed and kind of unrealistic (but what isn't with SBTB? lol). I don't think Kelly would have said yes to Zack that fast...sure she loved him, but she was always real skeptical about that kind of stuff and I think she would have told him to wait until they were older. It's like their relationship grew overnight...but I still LOVED it and I am so greatful they did get an ending they deserved. ;D

i agree with you Barb, i didnt really think she would say yes that quickly. if the series had gone on and then they got married it would have been more realistic. plus i didnt think zack was really ready to be married. he had a little more maturing to do first. but i love it anyway!

Yeah, I think Zack needed to do some more growing up...and you'd think Kelly would want to make sure that he really was ready for marriage first. I wonder what's the longest they stayed together before breaking up? lol ...I wouldn't think it'd be very long haha

I think it would have been cool if we got to see Zack and Kelly as a married couple. But then again we got to see something similar to that in Boy Meets World. If they did something like that I'd think that would be pretty cool!

It all depends on when the show was canceled. It's very possible that all the episodes that aired were filmed before any notice of cancellation. The writers probably had a certain storyline in which they wanted the show to follow, but because the show was canceled, they filmed the movie to finish the series with a happy ending. Had the show gone longer than it did, who knows what would have happened. Of course, this is all speculation.

Well, it's been said that when they found out it was going to be canceled that they wrote the storyline that Zack and Kelly would get engaged, and then they would have a movie to see them get married and give the show a good farewell. ...Oh, and to add I believe they also said that the original plan was to drag out the relationship a lot more (with obstacles), but they had to rush it due to the cancellation. I can't remember where I read or saw this, anyone remember? I want to say the E! True Hollywood Story, but it's been a while so I could be wrong...and wasn't that primarily about TOS?

That makes perfect sense. Many canceled shows never have the chance to have a finale the way SBTB did. Fans should be proud.

No reason to complain? Did you not see the Las Vegas movie? A good ten minutes at the beginning, a good ten minutes at the end, and a lot of drek in the middle. I hated the way that movie went. I thought it was really bad for the show.
As far as the topic, I think it would have been very cool to see the relationship drug out. I believe that the second season would have seen the parents throwing down major objections and actually doing something conniving to stop the wedding. I don't know that we'd have seen a Zack/Leslie rehash, but that relationship was so abruptly dropped that I wouldn't have minded it.

I thought it was really bad for the show. I thought it was decent...I'll admit I don't always watch the whole thing, sometimes I'll skip through it. I wasn't really into the whole mob...I'd prefer more of an internal problem within the group...and nothing too major. Slater could've still met Carla...but she would just be a girl. These girls always had to have something attached to them...lol Couldn't girls be normal on the show? Andrea had a kid, Stacy's dad was the boss, Carla had the mob...the list goes on lol Maybe the problems (cause everything has to have some sort of problem otherwise there's no story) could be us seeing them both get cold feet and the wedding preperations not going smoothly. But I'm just really happy we got a movie, and I'm happy that movie just happened to be them getting married.

I think the marriage storyline would've remained. I always imagined if the series continued, there would be an episode where Lasky would try to holla at Kelly and Zack finds out and he'd wanna put a hurtin on Lasky, but he would risk gettin kicked outta school or give Lasky an ultimatum to either stay away from Kelly 4ever or to report Lasky's actions to the chancellor. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO HOT!!!!!!!! Or Zack could have fought Lasky. So many storylines could have been done. Unfortunately they will never come to pass
