I wish they would of tied up some of the loose ends before they ended TCY. I mean I would of liked to of known what happened with Mike Roger's book Screech was helping him with. And I would of also liked to have seen Zack and Kelly fix up there apartment and what life would of been like with just Screech and Slater living together. Oh well though, I guess we'll never know.
How does everyone else feel?

I wish they would of tied up some of the loose ends before they ended TCY. I mean I would of liked to of known what happened with Mike Roger's book Screech was helping him with. And I would of also liked to have seen Zack and Kelly fix up there apartment and what life would of been like with just Screech and Slater living together. Oh well though, I guess we'll never know. How does everyone else feel? First off, Zack and Kelly wouldn't have gotten married if they had gotten the chance to continue...that was kinda last minute. But yeah, I would've like to have seen that. And I would've liked to see how Slater's love life turned out, did he continue to date Carla? To see Kelly cope with becoming a doctor and to see if Zack really did become more responsible and honest with Kelly. We all know what Screech did...so there's no mystery there. But yeah, I wish we could've got at least one more season. I know they would've played out the Professor Laskey thing a little longer if they would've continued...I'd like to think if they had a season finale they would've left us with a cliff hanger of her choosing between Zack and Laskey. And then the second season would've been Zack and Kelly dating, but having their ups and downs, and then whenever the series would end they would get married...but to be honest, that wasn't Kelly at all to agree to marry Zack. It was nice to have it end that way, but there's no way she would've really married him. The writer's forced her to LOL

hahah i totally agree barb! i would have loved a second season to tie things up. and i agree it was way out of character for kelly to agree. i could beleave her as say yes to getting engaged though. i think if it had went on a while longer they would have done the choosing thing like you said and drag it out more. now you made me really want to see this but its not real! :-/lol

I don't know...Kelly usually played it pretty safe. Well, mostly in high school. Skeeter's showed us she became a new person, becoming a little bit more rebellious LOL

maybe, but notice she did that to try to prove something. if zack hadnt upset her i dont know if she would have done that. i think maybe shed be a little more daring but not give up all her values.i still think shed would have gone for some kind of long engagement, but i dont know how zack would take that. haha

Yes, but I still think she was much more "adventerous" I guess you'd say in college. She was always so careful in high school. She kept apart of that with her in college of course, but not nearly as much I think. I think she would've had to been dating Zack for a while to be considering marrying him. Yeah, she's been dating him on and off, but she should know he's not responsible half of the time...but like she told Lisa in the movie, he's more responsible now. Yeah, I don't think so. lol I think she would've had to date him a bit longer in reality. But in the end, I'm glad they got married, I wouldn't want it any other way. It brought things to a closing for me. If they wouldn't have gotten married it wouldn't be over for me.

At that age I thought they were getting so old, so I didn't think anything wrong with it. LOL And here's a question...as people here are getting older, the ones who watched the show as a kid...Do you look at these episodes and see them older than what they really are? I don't look at the show and see people a year younger than me...I don't know what age they seem to me, but they still seem older than me for some reason. I can look at other shows and have no problem thinking they're my age, but with this show it's hard to think of them as college freshman sometimes.

yes i know exactly what you mean! even though im actually older than them now i still think they are older than me. i guess i just go back to when i first watched it and how old they looked to me! i used to think wow they are so old, i cant get over that. lol maybe because with all the makeup and everything they still look older. and some were actually a couple years older than they were supposed to be.

Hmm maybe's it because we know how old they are now. No, that's not it LOL Yeah, Alex was what, 10 years older than the rest? But yeah...I just think it's cause we were so young then, and it stuck with us that they were much older than us. I look at them and I don't really see an age, I just see people who are older than me, hard to explain. But yeah...it's weird knowing I'm older than they were on the show now...they're suppose to be older than me. LOL I think my mind will change though once I'm oh, 35 years old...I hope I don't still view them as older than me or else I've got problems LOL

Its funny because when I watch TCY and they make a reference about being freshman. I always catch my self saying "OOOOOOOOOOOh Yea they're freshman!"

I agree with thinking they're older. I'm also older than they were in college and I watch it and I feel like I'm still a kid watching grown ups. I don't think this will ever fade, even when I'm a senior.

As for loose ends, I want to believe that Kelly and Zack went on to have a very successful marriage. I never really got into watching The New Class, but Screech returned to Bayside to become some sort of assistant to Mr. Belding right? I'm not sure...Anyways, him returning to Bayside as an assistant/teacher hopefully implies he finished college and several years have since gone by. So in the episode of the New Class where Slater, Lisa and Zack return to try and save Bayside, you hear several indirect references to Kelly. You hear that Zack was planning a surprise birthday party for his wife (aka Kelly). And Slater even goes up to Zack and asks, "How's the missus?" So I think that alludes to the fact that Kelly and Zack were able to stay together through the years after college.

After that line "how's the missus" they both chuckle a bit, maybe that was not only a question to Zack but also to MPG...I mean wasn't MPG already married in real life??
