Full House took an oddball premise--three straight guys raising three girls in San Francisco--and ran with it for eight years. The show made household names of most of its stars and launched the franchise known as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The Olsen twins started out as two of the youngest child stars on television, and they now command a brand-name empire after their parents taught them the value of hard work and money.

As Full House: The E! True Hollywood Story, premiering Mar. 13 at 8 p.m., reveals, most of the castmembers were handpicked for their roles, and the result was ratings gold. Full House became the benchmark for wholesome family entertainment and cemented ABC as a leader in that category.

But being a megahit had its drawbacks: Candace Cameron faced prejudice at school, while sometimes the kids were mobbed in public, and the adult actors sometimes found it difficult to shed their good-guy images when they wanted to branch out their careers and try edgier material.

But despite all the tribulations, this is one E! True Hollywood Story that has multiple happy endings. The House is now empty, but its legacy lives on.

...Wow, I didn't know Candace had problems at school...that's kind of sad.

I'm looking forward to this. We know all about Mary-Kate and Ashley and their lives during the Full House days, but now we get to hear about the others. I'm looking forward to this. Now I just have to remember when it's on lol

Wow! Thanks for sharing the web site for Candace. I knew Kirk was a Christian, and it is wonderful news to find out that Candace is too! A little over a year from now I will be a pastor and it is great news indeed to learn of another person who is a follower of Christ!

I agree 100% Friar (the part about it always being great news to learn of another person who is a follower of Christ! ;D

I only got to watch half of this program (had to tape the rest), but the parts I saw I enjoyed. I really hope Full House will have a reunion show someday.
