I kinda want to know some of the things that went on, but I don't want anyone's image tarnished as many of them are going on to bigger and better things.
I mean, it does interest me to know if Zach and Kelly were ever really together.. But, still. Come on Screech

I think anyone that gets the book, if it ever comes out, just has to consider the source and decide for yourself how you feel about what you read about the cast members.

Is Diamond still writing the book? Sometimes he announcing that he's going to do something, but doesn't follow through. I think that Dustin Diamond is a very lazy person!

Here's what he said on Howard Stern today.
Dustin Diamond called in to promote his new book, “Behind the Bell,” about his days as “Screech” on “Saved by the Bell.” Howard asked about Dustin's bizarre behavior on “Celebrity Fit Club,” so Dustin explained: "If I can out-crazy Gary Busey, I've done my acting job well." Dustin then broke down some of the revelations in his book – like his co-stars sleeping with everyone but him: "I started going for the extras." Of the on-set “Saved by the Bell” pairings, Dustin revealed that both Mario Lopez and Mark Paul Gosselaar had banged Tiffany Amber Theissen – but only Mark also tagged Elizabeth Berkeley. Howard read a description of Tiffany from Dustin's book: "Saved by the Bell's set sleeper and Hollywood's pass-around girl." Dustin said Mark was a big jerk back in the day: "He actually grew up and mellowed out."
Dustin said Lark Voorhees had also changed since the show, citing an incident in which she flinched anytime a man spoke to her at a DVD commentary taping: "My thought is, Ok – who's beaten the dog?" Howard speculated that the book would prevent Dustin's castmates from ever speaking to him again, and Robin laughed: "It doesn't sound like he was hearing from them before." Howard's last question was about Dustin's claim that he'd slept with 2000 women, but Dustin dodged: "I'm a storyteller."

There's a sort-of review here. It's a list of the 11 most scandalous revelations in the book, written with a great deal of humour. After reading that list, I actually half want to read the book. I don't much care about the revelations or scandal insomuch as there is any (people acting like actual people =/= scandal) nor do I think I would be willing to take anything "scandalous" as actually fully (or even remotely) true, but Sam Greenspan gives some good arguments for reading it anyway. I don't like the idea of shelling out for it though, and I seriously doubt it'll ever find it's way into a library near me, so whether I actually end up reading it pretty much depends on a chance finding in a second hand shop/book fair, which I suspect is somewhat unlikely, or it becoming available free-to-read online, which is somewhat more likely but still far from guaranteed. I do like the public response to the book, though. Basically one big "whatever" and a great deal professionalism. No hysteria, no worried scramble that makes people think there may actually be something to the accusations. Still, I suspect that even if it did contain things that were technically libellous, suing for it would do more harm than good, bringing a great deal of unwarranted attention to the book. Suing people for calling you gay is even more pointless as 1) the book and especially the other things written in it about you will be gleefully dissected all over which will in all likelihood not make you look good and would probably get the book higher sales than it deserves, 2) everyone will think you actually are gay and desperate to hide it, and 3) the lgbt community, allies, and generally open-minded folks will dislike you for it since those lawsuits always seem to imply that being called gay is a bad thing and that actually being gay is a bad thing so make you look like a homophobe, which *will* lose you fans. Just ask Tom Cruise and Jason Donovan. Waste of money, basically.

This makes me a lil sad, screech is a lovable character, and Dustin is just distroying that with his bitterness. and I don't believe anything he writes in that book anyway. I know I would not waste my money on it!
