I feel sorry for Diamond. I'm guessing he was in maybe 200 episodes of Saved By The Bell, so I'd guess he probably made $1.5 - 2 million off his acting (assuming he was paid an average of about $7,500-10,000 per episode, which is within the range he mentioned on the Howard Stern Show).
However, his parents stole 75% of it, leaving him with about $375k - 500k. Then accounting for taxes and other expenses over the years, he really wasn't left with much. I guess that's why he feels obligated to do stand-up comedy. Too bad he can't return to show-biz with a steady job like Mario Lopez's with the hit TV show Pet Star.
Maybe he should take some time off and get a degree like the kid who played Weasel (Weasel is a graduate of Harvard Law School).

Check out this picture of Dustin Diamond. Apparently he is the son of the ruthless ruler of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi! (Just kidding, but I did laugh when I saw this picture.) That really doesn't look like him too much

Do you think the Double Dog makes any cut off those "Ladies Man" shirts with his picture on it? Because I bought one. I bet he get's good money from when they replay the episodes or sell the DVD's unless he signed a really bad contract. I would like to think that he's ok moneywise and not having to live behind some dumpsters.

shame, because I really like that zoinks shirt but I wish he would get a cut of the money. Dustin should sell his own merchandise. All his fans would buy so much stuff from him. I even have some ideas he might be interested in that his large fanbase would be into.

I really doubt that he gets that much from the sale of the DVDs. At the time of the original SBTB series, very few series were released on VHS, so it probably wasn't even considered in drafting the contracts.

well at least his standup is doing well. I hope he comes out to my state so I can see him. I wonder if he'll sign some stuff. I have a pair of zubaz that look like a pair he wore on the show that I'd love to have signed. I wonder if he parties like Dennis does. I heard in some Milwaukee bar they have a drink named after him.
