After enduring all of the harrassment, he probably wouldn't even want a cake from a stranger. He'd probably think it had been laced with poison or something like that.

Mabey that's the problem. So many people have crapped on Dustin throughout his life that he doesn't know how to act if people are nice to him. I wonder how he picked Wisconsin to move to? Was he originally from that area, or did he really like the show Step by Step? I'm pretty sure the Lamberts lived in Port Washington! LOL!!! ROCCO

If he were to move into my neighborhood, I would still go up to his door, during the day, introduce myself and welcome him to the neighborhood. If he made it obvious that he wasn't interested in having me there, I would just say welcome and let him be. When you've been screwed over enough times, I can see how it would be hard to trust people.

It's bad enough that people who don't know him do mean and hurtful things to him. However, it's far worse that his own parents, people he looked up to as a source of trust and comfort in his youth, screwed him over so many times for their own selfish reasons.

QK, I would still go over too. Just cause he may not trust anyone anymore, you still gotta keep trying and prove to him that some people do care.

You said it Barb! I wouldn't be doing it because he played "Samuel Screech Powers". If he and Jennifer are a kind couple, I'd be doing it because I like to associate with pleasant people. I would be able to understand his lack of trust and being cautious, but yeah, I would try hard to show him that there are people that want to be friends with them and not take advantage. He may not be good with finances, but that doesn't mean he's a mean person. It's just hard to trust when you've been betrayed.
