We all basically know the situation that's going on with Dustin. For us fans, I think this is a hard situation, but I was wondering if we could cut him some slack like not posting so many links or starting so many threads about his situation. I know it seems like I'm doing it right now, but I am still a fan of his and do have mixed feelings about how to feel about him. What do you say SBTB fans, lets cut him some slack?  |

I disagree. This is a forum set of for fans of Saved By The Bell and the actors/actresses who played characters on the show. Provided that the discussion is respectful, I think that members should continue to post relevant information here and start new threads where appropriate. One of the things I like about this Saved By The Bell forum is the plethora of relevant information that is posted here.
I seriously doubt that Dustin Diamond personally reads the threads here, so it's not as though were hurting his feelings or anything like that. Also, people are generally supportive of him anyway.
I prefer to see new threads created for new articles. It's easier to find them that way so that the information contained in them can be disseminated by all.
What does everyone else think?

Why ask for the same thing youre not willing to do... that's pretty pointless... I also disagree... we dont have to do anything other than what we want to do as long as we follow the rules... I would appreciate if you left our decisions to ourselves when it comes to what we post here or what threads we start... Unless we are breaking rules we have our god giving freedom of will and I intend to use it no matter what you think... |

You seem to have taken my post the way it was intended. You disagree with me, that's fine. You never know whether Dustin comes to this site, but that is not the reasoning for this thread. I just feel that there are many Screech fans here and wonder how they feel about the situation. I don't feel that you are disrespecting him and you made good points in your post. I do still stand by my post, but thank you for your honest respectful opinion elliot. |

Queenkelly only has good intentions for this topic...she is merely making a suggestion. Whether you agree or not, I think it should be taken as what it is and respectfully respond to it. Her intentions are not to "boss" anyone around or "force" people to quit making threads about Dustin's current situation.
Elliot. You make an interesting point. I also think we should create new threads for new articles....unless of course its related to the thread already created. And I appreciate the way you responded to QueenKelly's suggestion.
QueenKelly: I know how much this new controversy with Dustin has declared an overwhelming response on our boards. I understand when you mean there are many devoted Dustin fans and I can see you are merely trying to sympathize with them. I respect that about you. Hang in there....this whole thing with Dustin will die down soon.
I am really hoping we can spring up new threads about Dustin soon....of course, more positive and encouraging ones!

I believe that if there is news about Dustin then I think it should be shared, but I do empathize with what you are saying and for Dustin. But I think we should be able to discuss what's going on...  |

I personally don't feel like discussing what's going on with Dustin any further until there is a new development in his situation. But this isn't what I started this thread for. Members that are posting links are not doing so to insult Dustin. They are doing it to keep members informed that want to be informed. I'm just not going to read anymore about it, that's all. Let me make it clear why I suggested that we cut him some slack and make sure everyone understands that I do understand anger towards Dustin. He was 12 years-old when he started on the show. He turns 18 and finds out that his parents spent 75% of his money. So that tells us that his parents are irresponsible and took full advantage of is earnings. I don't know how he was raised so for all I know he could have be taught to get what you want anyway you can. I think for this, we can sympathize with him. Long before he found this house, he had 250 thousand dollars. He got this house, with bad credit and now he is coming to his fans to flip the bill. Now, there are people out there that are not good with money at all! Dustin is obviously one of them. Should we be upset that he has created a web-site that makes him look homeless and he himself is saying is saying that he will be homeless unless we help him? YES! Of course! Dustin is obviously VERY bad with money. In that aspect, I merely suggested cutting him some slack. Like Erika said, This is pretty much dominating the forum. I also merely suggested cutting back on the links. elliot and Barb have both disagreed with me, but their posts come across to me as saying that they understand that this was a suggestion and respectfully posted why they disagreed. That is why I started this thread. Thank you Erika for your post. You know how much I appreciate what you posted. |

QK, just because we don't agree with what he is doing does not, by all means, mean that we don't like Dustin. We're just discussing what's going on so we can better understand the situation...and sure, we'll often give our opinion. And I thought things had died down myself until this thread. LOL
I do feel bad for what's going on with Dustin...but he did bring this on himself, and he is poking fun of himself, so why should we steer clear of even talking about it? It's obvious that Dustin wants us to talk about it. If he were to ever visit here, he's probably loving that we have the board swamped with threads about him....even if they are sometimes negative. It's still free advertisement for him. I know that sounds harsh, but it's true. I am and will always be a fan of Dustin's...but it's not like we're doing this to him, he's doing it to himself.

Barb, I know that members that are talking about him and posting these links are not doing it because they don't like him. I know our members are still fans of his. I believe that members are very upset with him over the way he is handling this, but are still fans. The question of whether or not we are still his fans never came to mind because I believe we still are. And here I go and start this thread. LOL I know you and elliot and I know that you 2 are not posting these links to to insult Dustin in anyway. For any other members that have posted links, I'm not singling Barb and elliot out, just lost track of who posted what links where. I do understand that this is a discussion about his situation. When you said that we are not doing this to him, he is doing this to himself? You're right! That is so true. I know that we are all still fans of Dustins. Like I said that never came into question. |

Barb, I just re-read your post and there is one thing that I don't agree with, but it's such really not worth bringing up. You have made me realize that I am adding into what Dustin wants! I'm suggesting that we should ease up, but I have just created another thread! I would like to make it clear to members that I don't believe that we are no longer fans of Dustins. I started this thread with good intentions, but after reading Barb's post, I'm adding fuel to the fire so to speak. I find Dustin to be a very confusing person, but you are right. If he comes to this forum, he's probably happy that his situation has dominated the forum. I never even thought of that. Thanks Barb. ;D Just remember, I'm not telling anyone not to discuss it. |

I think most of us have aired our thoughts about the situation. There is no need to be redundant. Repetition makes for dull discussion.
On the other hand, if there is any meaningful new discussion or news on the situation, it should be welcomed.
