I found this great website with tons of pictures of Dustin from when he was a kid. There are even some pictures of his family. His dad looks like he has a sense of humor. dustindiamondfan.blogspot.com/ |

wow those are some cute pics of him! and i really thought he was jewish but for some reason i guess he celebrated christmas. he looked like a nice happy kid. its sad he didnt stay that way as an adult.  |

He could be part jewish? Anyways, my guess is that Dustin (or his girlfriend) is in charge of that blog. Who else would have access to baby pics of him? And is it wrong for me to look at him as a child and see a mischeivous look on his face, like one day he would turn out to be the Dustin he is? LOL  And that little black girl...she looks familiar. Is she a child star as well? |

Maybe Dustin's father is Jewish and his mother is Catholic or some other Christian denomination. I'm pretty sure that "Diamond" is a fairly common surname in the Jewish community. I was also quite surprised to see the pictures of Dustin as a kid with Santa Clause!
I agree that Dustin did look like a happy kid, although I suppose the the pictures could be misleading. However, he does look happy in the pictures were he's riding both the real pony and that plastic one. I think I might have had a blue plastic horse like that when I was a little, but I cannot really remmeber.

yeah Diamond is defenetly a jewish name. i know cuz i am! lol he must either be half or his dad was half and decided to go towards christian instead. i didnt know he had an older brother that died, how sad. i wonder if that really affected him.

yeah it must be that one parent is jewish and the other isnt and he was raised more christian. that does happen a lot. dustin also has the jewish kind of look too.  |

He does look happy. I wonder what is family life was really like though? It must have been hard when his brother died and what ever happened to his mother? To me, his dad just doesn't seem like a very good father figure. |

yeah i have to agree jenn the parents looked kind of eh to me. its hard to explain but they dont look like great parents to me. it could just be me reading too much into it but they dont look like they are really "happy" in those pics but dustin does.

Those are some really interesting pictures. It looks like Dustin's dad was living vicariously through Dustin. You can see that Dustin's dad enjoyed playing characters and I remember him being in an episode of SBTB. Does anyone know what happened to Dustin's mother? I wonder if his downward spiral began after she passed? His father seems to have taken advantage of him after that occurred.

I wonder if she had a nervous breakdown or divorced Dustin's father. The stress of having the retarded son who died might have gotten to her after awhile. I saw this blurb on IMDB.com: Saved By The Bell Star's Money Problems

I wonder now how the ebayer of which i purchased fan mail to dustin, videos of his early commercials and his elementary school yearbook got it from? hhmm.. I am trying to remember, but I can't seem to. Probably were left behind somewhere like these pictures. |
