The way they put it, it would've been one of the beach episodes, but this is not true. They were my favourites episode, and I am one hundred percent sure it wasn't in Zack's Birthday.
On the other hand I do remember it happened, but I don't think it had anything to do with a birthday. Why it can't be in Zack's Birthday: It was a SUPRISE party, that's why they gave it at exactly twelve a clock.
(Zack's Birthday would 've been in third season out of four.)
Edit: You're right Lifelogger, in Holland they do not edit the episodes.

What would it have been though? I remember her calling him and him answering and she wanted to be the first time say Happy Birthday. I know she at least told him Happy Birthday...and I'm pretty sure it was the beach episode, Zack's Birthday.

Ok. Here is a shot in the dark... Was it not that Zack is sleeping in bed and that Kelly is coming into his room and wake's him up? Wasn't there something like that in "SBTB The college years"? Maybe I am just nuts...  |

I remember that scene. And it wasn't recap episode, The Best Summer of My Life...you don't see her on the phone there. It was indeed his birthday. lol I know that. And it was either midnight or the time of his birthday which wasn't much past midnight. She woke him up and you saw both of them on the phone. Erika, do you know what episode/scene I'm talking about? Or do you have the original airing to look back on? ...there just may be a chance it was only shown once in the original airing here on NBC. Even if you guys do get unedited versions, this just may be a scene they thought was unnecessary to ever show again. Why? I don't know....lol |

I also wanted to point out, that it may very well not be a beach episode, but I swear it was. It's the only logical explanation as to how she could be saying Happy Birthday. I know it was a surprise party....and I know he came a few minutes early...but maybe that's why it's not shown anymore? Maybe they took it out realizing it was a mistake? But I know for sure it was a Happy Birthday. Carrie, do you still know what I talking about?  |

Another reason why I hate it when they cut out some parts of the Original Episodes. It's not from Zack's Birthday, I know that for a fact. I think it might have been in season 2 or 3. But I think 3.

I just watched a downloaded version of "Zack's birthday" (beach episode), but the scene wasn't in there. As far as I remember I also don't think Zack was that old. The scene I remember is he sleeping in bed, the phone ringing and he get's out of bed and sit on the side. I think he was still a lot younger there. [update] Wasn't it in "the fabulous Belding boys"? They kinda break up there too and later get back together again. Oooh no... forget it. That did not have anything to do with a birhtday...  |

Ok, let's try to break this down. We know it's a scene where Kelly calls Zack at midnight to wish him a Happy Birthday (to be the first one). We know it wasn't during the college years. We know it wasn't a summer beach episode (or do we?) Zack was in his own room I do remember this scene. I think it was after they had broken up, and it was a sign to show that Kelly did still have feelings for Zack.  |

Actually, it could be a beach episode...but it may not be I suppose.
But I'm glad people remember this. But it was after they broke up and it was his birthday. I don't remember it being his birthday in any other episode....I remember him talking about his birthday coming up though. Wouldn't they have made a bigger deal out of it if it was his birthday...instead of just Kelly?

1. Could it have been the other way around ? Zack calling Kelly, I don't think so.
2. Was it his birthday, it wasn't, most probably. It wasn't in 'Zack's Birthday' and there's no other birthday episode, is there.
3. What was the phone call about ?
4. After they broke up (1) or during a 'temporary break up' (2)?
