As far as I am aware, the Freshman Fall (aka She Cried No) DVDs that are available for sale in the UK are Region 0 and will play anywhere. I have a copy of this bought in the UK and also gave a DVD to someone in the US and it worked for them as well. The DVDs are only cheap, I'd highly recommend it. Check out the Freshman Fall screen caps at my site for more info. KIM XXX www.geocities.com/markpaulgosselaar

I bought two off of ebay. One says Region free. The other says Region 2. I guess I'll find out if it works on my dvd. If not then I can watch it on my computer. I saw your freshman fall screen caps. They're great. Maybe the region means where it's from, now that I think about it.

I guess I'll find out if it plays or not. I can always watch them on my computer and try to copy them and see if they'll play on my dvd.

Yor DVD software will also have region encoding. You are usually allowed to change the region but this should be done with caution - you're only allowed to switch regions five times and then it sticks! If it sticks on region 6 that's it...you can only view Chinese DVDs for good! Eek!

I don't watch dvds on my computer. So it won't matter to me if it's Region 2. I guess I can try making a copy of it to play on my dvd player.

I'm pretty sure the region is something that gets copied in with the rest of the data on the DVD but I guess its worth a try. The easiest thing to do of course it to unlock or 'chip' your DVD player so that it becomes multi-region. This is what I did and now I watch DVDs from all over!

I have no idea how to unlock my dvd player. How did you unlock your dvd player? Worse case senerio I'll watch it on my computer, but I prefer to watch it on my dvd player.

My type of DVD player was easily unlocked by typing in a code on the remote control. You'd have to do a search on the net to find out if this was possible for your particular make and model of player.
If this can't be done, its possible to buy a chip that can be soldered onto the insides of your player. This is obviously more complicated so not really a good idea if you don't know what you're doing! Some electrical type shops will do this for you though. Checking it out on the net is the best thing to do I guess!

I have a Philips 633 and another one that's also a Philips (can't recall the model number of that one). Just do a search online, it might be easy to unlock yours too.

I have a panasonic. I should have asked for a multi-region one for Christmas. I unlocked the rating part, but I have no idea if that's the right one. I doubt it.

I got the dvd today, but it doesn't read on my dvd. So I have to watch it on my computer. It might be the computer, but he sounds like he's on heliuim. (LOL)

LOL! That's crazy! It's prrobably how the DVD plays but you never know...he did have a rather strange squeaky voice period around the time of She Cried No and Dying to Belong for some reason unknown! Its like that sometimes in DMOC too! Odd.
