Did they get back together after College... or did they meet other people? Your pick!
I'd like to think that after college, they met somewhere in Bayside and started things up again, and eventually got married.

I don't think so. Mario had this new girlfiriend, Carla, and Jessie was in NY. I think they would be just friends but.... I hardly believe they would get married!!! Look at their wedding in the first season episode. It was just a disaster!

As much as I want Jessie and Slater together happily ever after, they didn't have as much in common as Salter and Carla seemed to.

Slater and Jessie may have gotten together in the future. As seen in The College Years, Slater started to soften up and was more open to new ideas and change (i.e. embracing his Chicano heritage and supporting the movement on campus).

I agree with TimePilot, partially, there's no reason for jessie and slater to ever be in the same place at the same time. She's studying the law, he's studying student bodies. Why would they get back together for a brief time just to have a long distance relationship.

I think that Slater and Jessie have conflicting personalities to the point of where I don't think they could be married. Their mock marriage proved that point. Though I thought they made a cute short term couple. Doesn't Jessie show up at Zack/Kelly's wedding? Isn't Slater there too? I haven't seen the movie, so I don't know if any sparks fly between the two.

It would be nice to think that somewhere along the way, they did reunite and live happily ever after. Not exactly realistic, but then that was the beauty of SBTB, it wasn't supposed to be. Realisticly, I can't see these two characters ever having started up again. But they say opposites attract and I always thought there was so much more fire between them than Zack/Kelly, although I loved them too!!!! People change and who knows , it would be nice to think they did end up back together in the long term.

I hated how one minute they were together and then on came the college years and it was never explained how they broke up! I would love to think that maybe they got back together later on, but Slater seemed like he was pretty happy with Carla. And like people said, they were at two different points in their lives with their separate careers. They couldn't possibly maintain a long distance relationship. In order for it to work, one of them would have to move to where the other is living. Not to mention they'd have to learn to adjust to each others different personalities! Its one thing to date in high school, its another to get married, because let's face it, they were total opposites. Don't get me wrong though, I did love them together and would love to think that they met up somewhere sometime after Zack and Kelly's wedding and got together again. Not very likely though.  |

I think that if Carla and Slater didn't work out, they would've gave it one more try. It would've either been finished after that or they would've lasted.
Most of me thinks that Slater and Carla lasted thought. Perhaps marriage, don't really see kids in the picture though.

Slater and Jessie hooked up a couple of times on breaks from college--but no happy ending for them. Slater would be coaching wrestling and high school history teacher in L.A. --possibly Bayside? With a cute wife and baby or two. Jessie would be some high profile public official...having a secret side relationship with a young, hot, male assistant.  |
