Gosselaar on press duty in 'Chief'

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Former "NYPD Blue" co-star Mark-Paul Gosselaar is joining the cast of ABC's new Geena Davis drama "Commander in Chief," where he'll play a slick media strategist.

Gosselaar will be reunited with executive producer Steven Bochco, who took the reins of the White House drama this month from creator Rod Lurie. Gosselaar worked on the Bochco-produced "NYPD Blue" from 2001 until the series finale this year. Before "NYPD Blue," Gosselaar was best known for his work on the kids TV staple "Saved By the Bell."

This show sounds so much better for him than "Hitched". I never liked the concept of that show. It sounded cheesy. To go from a respectable show like NYPD Blue to Hitched on Fox with Tara Reid was a down grade in my opinion. This show however is a definite upgrade.

I think it is awesome that he is back.......I watch any old SBTB shows just to see him!!! I recently seen Screech - Dustin Diamond in Stand-up at Snickers Comedy Club in Fort Wayne, IN......he was awesome!!! But he didn't have very nice things to say about 'Zack'
