This is quite interesting. A lot of people know that 'Jessies song' was never aired in the UK. I assume thats because of it being too dramatic for Saturday morning kids TV. But also I'm pretty sure there were other episodes of SBTB not aired in this country either. These include: 'Running zack' (series 1) 'A home for Christmas' (series 4) and 'Earthquake' (series 5) I had never seen those episodes until I bought the DVDs and I've been watching this show since I was a kid. I'm 20 now. It would be interesting to discuss why they never aired and if any UK members of this site have seen them.
I think 'Running Zack' wasnt aired because it dealt with death. Maybe something we didnt wanna show in the morning on a kids show. Maybe 'A home for Christmas' wasnt aired because they never showed SBTB during the holidays and it would look out of place on any other date. And well.....I have no idea about the other one lol

Hi, I'm a bit miffed about these episodes actually. I know that Nickelodeon have unfortunately decided not to show Running Zack, Jessie's Song and No Hope With Dope in their current run at 2pm daily. I emailed to try to get them shown, but no luck it seems. I guess the channel just doesn't want to get involved in broadcasting anything at all dealing with real world life "problems". However, I first watched SBTB on Channel 4 in the early 90s and I'm SURE Jessie's Song was shown then, I remember watching it. That's why I think Nickelodeon are being overally sensitive about this. I've been trying to put off buying the DVDs because I don't want to fork out for (so I've been reading) cut/syndicated versions, but it looks like I may have to if I'm to see these episodes!

Trust me it is worth buying the DVD's especially the season 3 & 4 box set because they have commentary from a few of the cast on some episodes including 'No hope with dope'.
