ARRRRGGGHHH! Right, heres the story. I'm in the UK, so I had to buy the SBTB Seasons 1 & 2 from the US, but there is an English site, PlayUSA.com, that lets you do that without the hassle of converting money and stuff. Anyway, I preordered the DVD a while ago, and the price was £24.99 (which is pretty good for 5 DVDs). I have used this site to buy a lot of USA CDs which go through customs and I never have a problem, but I got a small leaflet this morning saying that the package with the SBTB DVD in has a customs charge of £8.37 I was really angry, and now I have to go to the other side of town to pick up the package and hand over £8.37 so they can give it to me So that is a grand total of £33.something. AAARRGGGHH! Anyway, I suppose its worth it, its SBTB after all

That really sucks, Chris. Sorry to hear about your struggle for SBTB!

Well, I had a similar problem, I bought it from Playusa, and when it was delivered, their was a sticker on the envelope stating £8.37 custom tax, this will be collected from you by the post office. What's all that about, my credit card hasn't been charged the extra £8.37 so do I get a bill in the post or what?
Also, this is the first region 1 dvd I have bought, and I notice pixelation on the dvd, kinda like a low res mpeg. Is this normal or are all region 1's this way?

No, its not normal. There are different region DVDs for different regions of the world. If you live in the U.K. then your DVDs should be region 2. In the U.K. they sell region 2 players which is probably what you have. In that case the DVD porbably wo`nt play in the high quality as it would on a reigion one player sold in the u.s.

Excuse my ignorance to the understanding of "region" DVD players, but can someone explain this whole "region" DVD player system you're all talking about? I live in the U.S. and my DVD player seems to be fine and it's pretty new, but I'd just like to be informed about these sort of things even if they may not apply to me. Thanks.
