Hey all. SBTB DVD news! In my latest Video Business magazine (It's a weekly video retailer magazine), it talks about Lion's Gate and their partnership with NBC TV. There was a mention basically saying that each nbc tv series "deal with lions gate" has to be renagotiated after each release. Like after the release of say, Will and Grace, they have to hammer out another deal for season two. Then they said, "the network also is signed on to release future seasons of Saved By the Bell." So, what I get out of it is that nbc and L's G already have signed deals regarding the future seasons of SBTB.
Good news for all of us. Sounds like L's G is already working on details for more sets. Let's hope more care and consideration regarding features, etc.. are discussed.

Hey!! This is awesome news!! Thanks for the info Matt!! Here is the important portion of the article: This year, NBC Enterprises launched an ambitious DVD release schedule, reaching out to a number of distributors to expand product sales at retail beyond its direct-response sales. The deals are one-offs and must be renegotiated for each season set for release. Much of the studio's product is distributed by Lions Gate Home Entertainment, which released drama Kingpin in July followed by season one of sitcom Will & Grace in August and the first two seasons of Saved By the Bell on Sept. 2. The studio also is signed on to release future seasons of Saved By the Bell. Source: Video Business Online reed4success.com/defaultaction.asp

Hey, thanks for putting up the link. I was just going too. Let's hope with the sucess of season 1/2, L's G will make an announcement soon. I'm eager to see what will come next. BTW to kind of chime in on all of the threads about the dvd, I agree with pretty much how everyone feels about them. No insert, hardly any pictures, episodes in airdate order(weird), my Friends and Alias sets are way much better, BUT I keep telling myself "atleast I have them on dvd." I have no doubt that L'sG will not leave out any episode from the sets, so even if one odd ends up in season 4's disc, atleast we will have all 86 eps! I talk to friends all the time who wish they're favorite cult show were on dvd (Full House, Alf, etc, etc)...we are so lucky that NBC decided to get with L'sG to release them. Yeah, they could be better, but it could be like Ally McBeal or Miami Vice and NEVER get released!! (music royalites and licensing are too expensive, so it's not worth it to the distributer and Universal has even come out and said M.Vice will never come out)... Anyway, now I'm rambling...but of course anything more I hear/read I'll post... Matt

Tell me about it! Freaks and Geeks is coming out on DVD and its going to be over $100 because of liscensing rights for it`s music. Thank goodness SBTB is`nt known for its classic music... unless you count Zach Attck... Friends Forever... classic.

I'd want Boy Meets World, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Seinfeld, and That 70's Show. I want Full House too, but I read that they don't want to pay the actors for it. So looks like no Full House DVD...

Oh Completly! I loved that show. I memorized the whole theme song and me and my friends used to sing it my mom`s car on the way to practice and we would turn it into a country song, rock song or whatever mood we were in at the time...good times with the Fresh Prince
