Hey guys,
I sent out an e-mail to Lions Gate asking about the progress of season 5. I wrote :
Just wondering about the progress on the Saved by the Bell Season 5 DVD.
Is the release date still July 5th? Are they working on extras? Any
information you could provide the fans, I would truly appreciate!
And they replied with :
Planned for July (but not completely firm), we are currently working on the special features.
Discuss...this isn't all good news.

Really cool about the features...but I am scared about the release date. I have had it up on the site since they mentioned it to me in October. And now it's unclear if it will even be out in July? What will I do!

This is just my opinion, I'd wait till about May or June to send them another email to see what's up. That way they'll have a better idea.

Maybe the longer it takes to get it out is good. i hope the "special features" is worth the wait!!!!

I have no idea why it would take so long to release it if they weren't working on some special features. Even though we are waiting awhile, I think we'll be getting a set with lots of special features that we'll enjoy ;D |

Quite honestly, Lions Gate has let me down so many times already...I have given up on them.  It's sad....I am just happy I have the episodes in good quality and I have layed my VHS' to rest. These DVD's aren't up to par for fanatics. It's sad. So the main point...I am not getting my hopes up.  |

I just mean by their disorganization....their lack of accountability....their mediocre DVD sets..lol Lions Gate always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Too bad nobody else would put them on dvds. Thank god for the other dvds so far. NYPD season 3 isn't coming out yet. Someone said it was due to lack of sales. I hope they put out season 5 comes out in July and they put the rest of NYPD out on DVD with extras with the cast. That person that told me said that they have interviews with the cast. So if they put out the rest of the seasons maybe they're do interviews with the cast. OK. I'll shut up now. ;D

Why dont we get a petion up or email IMAGE to see if they can buy the rights to the original series?
I want to own the Complete un-edited series in good quality.
What do you guys think?
