Just wondering...does my avatar load incredibly slow on your connections? I have a cable modem so it loads within a few seconds, but I was wondering about the others with dial-up, etc.? Sorry if it does.

Thanks!...You have dial-up and it still only takes a few seconds? That's great. If anyone wants me to make them one, I'm more than willing. Just let me know what scene and if I have it, I will make it for you.

It's great, but I was thinking, it seems to me the same system as a screensaver. Am I correct, or not? Lol it looks the same to me. Anyways, if I'm correct, could you make, well me is probably the wrong word, us a screensaver on SBTB ? It doesn't matter what scene

No, it's a gif animation. I don't know how to make a screen saver at the moment...but I could learn. I'll check it out and see if it's too hard.

Hey Barb! That avatar is beautiful. I was wondering, do you think you can tell me how to make one? I have many graphics programs but I just don't know where to learn how to do that! Also, I read that you found out how to make screensavers. Can you tell me how to do that also? Sorry for asking for so much! Thanks.

As for making the avatar I just captured the video to my computer...with a video editing program you edit a very short scene (otherwise the file will be way too large to download for some people), then you save the clip as either an .avi or .mpg (avi for most animation programs), then you open up your animation program and insert the video clip that you created and add effects and walah! You have an avatar. You'll want to resize the animation width to about 100 (or less)... As for screensavers...you'll need flash to make them. I'm still working on one...(little by little) It's not high on my priority list right now...but as soon as I'm done I'll let you all know!

Thanks for the tips, Barb. Although, I am still a bit confused on the whole concept. Anyways, what program do you use to capture it?

You need a capture card which you can get for like 40-80 bucks and then I use a program called DScaler but there are tons of programs out there, mine came with my capture card. It's all really quite simple once you get the hang of it.

I'm gonna try that program I guess, the one I had doesn't record the sound at the moment, it only tapes video lol. But can you tell me if it's this one? : deinterlace.sourceforge.net

I believe I have a capture card because I have made screencaps when I watch tv on my comp before. But I am really not familiar with computers. he heh. I think I'll just ask you to make me one for now, since you know how to do it. Now, all I have to do is narrow it down to my favorite scene....

I know it records sound because it has the options. I must be doing something wrong because it won't record sound for me either...but I have a crappy capture card. It only has the one composite port - the video. And then there's a port for the sound called Line-In?? But the sound won't work. I also have an S-Video port but my VCR doesn't have that connection so it has to be composite. I guess I need to save up for a real capture card that has all 3 composite ports.

Yeah, that would be a capture card if you've taken screen captures before But if you want me to make you one, just let me know. Hopefully, I have the scene you want.
