It seems that the writers were running out of ideas by the time The College years came around. In "The Homecoming" Zack says something like "he puts his pants on one leg at a time." If I'm right, didn't Slater say this exact same thing when Johnny Dakota came. I know a lot of the same sort of jokes are used. Any one else notice any lines copied from the orginal series?

Speaking of rehash writing... How come every come on for a guy or girl is in the form of: 'Did you know you have the most beautiful eyes?' In the College years the hispanic girl in Slater's cultural education episode says he has the most beautiful eyes, in spanish. Los ojos de TimePilot84 son muy bonito!

I also noticed Zack humming "Some Guys Have All the Luck,' ex-Faces member Rod Stewart's cheesy hit, then, like an episode later, Zack says it again. C'mon Bennett Tramer!

I just noticed another rehash, not a line but still interesting. In "Palm Springs Weekend" Screech is seen carrying out and quoting from a book about girls with a cover with lips on it. In the college years he is again seen with a book of a supposedly different title, but the same lips cover!

I like some of the cross over lines....it gave the audience some familiarity of the characters....Although, Tramer was one of the writers, you have to acknowledge the fact that he was the only cross over writer....the rest were new writers....they might have done this so that the new writers didn't change the characters and their personalities in any way for the new show. I guess Tramer was there to keep the characters he helped create and mold. Know what I mean? (It's late, I don't even know if I made sense....But I am sure you understand my point!) LOL

Yeah...I also laugh when I see one of the two episodes. I kind of like how they use it over again...and like bringing TOS over to TCY...it's kind of sad knowing they still kept that prop though lol They probably didn't think we'd notice...LOL Just like Kelly and Lisa's dresses in Palm Springs and in Mystery Weekend...and for any other inconsistency for that matter! HAHA |

Yeh I see. As I have written in other threads, Tramer's my favorite writer, so I can forgive him for the rehashing. But i have to give props to the new writers too. They brought some maturity to the show without letting it become too serious. Zack only grew more likeable and treacherous.

Getting back to the top of the thread, In the episode from TOS Zack, Screech, and Slater were in the bathroom and Zack was tryna explain 2 slater how great of a guy he was and slater was like: he's no different from the rest of us, we all put our pants on 1 leg at a time and screech was like: we do? And then in TCY, Zack says almost the exact same thing while slaters tryna explain 2 him how great of an athelete Johnny Walters is then Zack says we all put our pants on 1 leg at a time and Screech this time says: Is that how you guys do it? Anybody ever noticed how in the college years nobody was out 2 teach Zack a lesson like they always used 2 in high school? They did that in so many episodes. Fatal Distraction, The Zack Tapes, Video Yearbook, School Song, just 2 name a few. Im sure there more. From Nurse to Worse episode a lil bit, but not totally.
