Razor blade joke?

I recently re watched the pilot episode of this show (it was OK I guess). There was one scene where the guys are in boxers (and the audience bizarrely starts cheering). Zack has apparently has borrowed Leslie's hair gel. This causes Leslie to comment that "If you won't use my hair gel, I won't borrow your razor blades" (paraphrasing or perhaps it was the other way around). Then Leslie asks "you do use razor blades, don't you?" Then Screech responds "twice a week, whether (it?) needs it or not." Then the canned laughter came on. I didn't get the joke. Was Leslie asking about razor blades vs. electric shavers? I don't see how that would be funny? Was there significance in the fact that Screech was holding a computer keyboard? What was the "it" Screech was referring to?

She was making a joke at his expense. Saying whether or not he even has enough hair to shave - poking fun of his manhood.
