Okay I seriously think they ripped off the name Leslie Burke from the 1978 award winning children's book Bridge to terebithia. The main character is named Leslie Burke.

Very well could be. That happens a lot in tv shows and movies. Or it could be a coincidences. Just like there are hundreds of people with my name. Also, there are several on tv as well. Mark Sloan ring a bell? Dianosis Murder and Grey's Anatomy both have a Dr. Mark Sloan. There are many others, I just can't think of them at the moment.

It could also be that the name Burke is very well-known and could be someone that has donated a lot of money to a certain college. Could be a combination of crew's or a family members name. Could be a rip-off of the college, Berkeley too.
