Former "90210" star TORI SPELLING and screenwriter/actor husband CHARLIE SHANIAN have separated, a source close to the couple tells ET. The two have been living separately since early last month.
The couple met while doing a play together over three years ago. They tied the knot on July 3, 2004 at Tori's expansive family home. She was 31 when her father, TV tycoon AARON SPELLING walked her down the aisle while guests like BOB NEWHART, IAN ZIERING and ED McMAHON were in attendance.
A reported 400 guests attended the lavish affair that cost a reported $1,700 a person. Tori is currently working on a Lifetime Television movie.

wow. nowadays no one can keep a marriage. i think we should prolly go back to the old days when nothing went on during dating other than dating. most of the time there wasnt even a kiss for months at hand. this may sound conservative but you dont see those people gettin divorces now do you?

That was quick. Same thing with Rene Zelwinger and Kenny Chesney.

Going back to the old days of dating which was rfered to as "courting" could be the answer, but although many of those people have stayed married, aer they all happy marriages?

There is just something about celebrity marriages that just make them unsuccessful. It must be fame.

I don't think it has much to do with celeb marriages! I keep on hearing that, but the truth is, what why are finding out from mags and the entertainment shows is the failed marriages. It's not "sensational" enough to talk about the successfull celeb marriages!
I can't even list all the successful marriages in hollywood right now because there are so many. It's got nothing to do with celebrity. When it does, it's because one of the people in the marriage chose to put their career first. Can't blame that on celebrity, you blame that on the person.

Some times they just grow apart! Tori and her husband were together for about 2 years before they got engaged. They may not even get a divorce. They may be just having some serious problems and believe that being a part for an amount of time could save their marriage. Just wanted to throw a little positive thing in their for everyone.

tatfan, I don't get that station, but did Tori say that BEFORE they got married she didn't think it would work out in the long run? She actually said that it wouldn't work out in the long run!? Then why did she marry him? ?

no thats what i heard she said now about the breakup. but i thought she knew him for a while so she would have figured that out long ago. maybe actually living together was different and they found it didnt work.
