For a character that appeared in one episode (Cream for a Day) and may have said one word, I think Muffin Sangria is one of my favorite extras, just because of her name. Every time I hear it, it makes me chuckle.
I guess after losing homecoming queen to a freshman (Kelly), Muffin never had the courage to show her face at Bayside again...what a shame.

The name alone makes me laugh, possibly one of the finest character names on SBTB!

Wait, what grade was Muffin in anyways? She must have been in the same grade as the rest if she was in season 1 and then again in season 4. Either that, or Muffin wasn't the brightest bulb at Bayside and failed numerous grades. And with a name like Muffin, there may be some truth to the latter. Only at Bayside could freshmen run for, and win, homecoming queen.

And with a name like Muffin, there may be some truth to the latter. ;D LOL! I'd have to agree...even though I've got one of those names that's considered stupid in this country!

And PC pray tell what name is that?!? The ;D Friar LOL! Ready for a mini-essay!? Kimberley! Due to various lets say 'cultural' factors it's got a poor rap here. Let's start by saying it's unusual, I have NEVER met anyone else called Kim/Kimberly/Kimberley in my life. It has the element of Muffin Sangria about it is mostly because: * It "sounds too American cheerleadery" - We don't really have cheerleading (though it's becoming more popular) and, on the whole, people think it's pointless, superficial and maybe those girls should join something more useful like proper gymnastics or latin club. * A fantastic British comedienne, Victoria Wood, once did a sketch in the 80s, which made the name the subject of ridicule! It was actually really funny but basically involved some ill-educated girl who had lost her friend in a store "Have you seen my friend, Kimberley? She's reaaaally tall...and reaaaally wide." * The name did start to gain in popularity for a while in the early 90s - (without being offensive) amongst people belonging to lower socio-economic groups. Now, if you heard the name in public it would be some woman on a bus shouting it at an unwashed child, probably dressed like a mini hooker! I'd probably rather be called Muffin Sangria in all fairness - people have actually commented that its a miracle I've managed to secure a job in the professional services industry 'with a name like that', which is a shame because I used to be complimented on it!

Hey Kimberley! What a great name! How's that for a compliment? You are right though, it is a more common American name. I've known, or know many Kimberleys. But, at least here in the US, Kimberely would be preferred over Muffin!!! LOL!!! I took the liberty of checking Kimberely on the web and will enlighten everyone to what I found. First of all, there are some cities out there named Kimberley. Two such examples are Kimberely, British Columbia, and Kimberley of Northern Cape Province, South Africa. And I might add is the capital of said province. There is a hotel in Hong Kong named Kimberely...listed as First Class! There is a line of Kimberely Kampers of Australia..."A purpose built dedicated 4WD camper trailer for Australian off-road conditions." Also in Australia a Kimberley Diamond Company, based in Perth and listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Not to mention you are a region in western Australia...the Kimberely Region. There is also a Kimberley Crusie line...once again in Australia. On the more risqué side of the name, there is a Mistress Kimberley in London...no more details needed! To rescue this post from going bad I give you the Montclair Kimberley Academy located in lovely...New Jersey? OK scratch the rescue bit! And the list goes on and on... So you see the name isn't all that bad, with a few exceptions!!! And, although I agreed with you prior to my net search, I must withdraw my statement that Kimberley is a more American name than a British one. As you can see, British Columbia, South Africa, and Australia are all places that were once highly influenced by the British way of life. So one can only conclude that Kimberely is more British than it is American! Wait a second, weren't we once a British colony?!? Bloody @#$%! Of course the highest concentration of Kimberely was in Australia, a former British penal colony, so maybe you had better stick to the American story and the whole Peculiar Chicken thing, which is much more flattering anyway!!! I once knew a girl named Candy Bar!! No joke. I don't remember the exact spelling of the last name (Bar / Barr / Bahr), but I don't think it really mattered.
Perculiar Chicken: just be glad you're not a guy named Kim. It's not that common in the US, but it does happen.
