New York trip

Hello American friends ;D!
I was wondering if you guys could help me out on this one.. Me and a friend are considering to visit New York this summer. We want to stay there for about 6 or 7 nights. The first -and only- problem is, ofcourse, the costs . We really want to go there, it'd be a great experience! My question to you is; do you perhaps know a place where we can stay for a few nights for an affordable price? I looked for hotels, but I have to say that even 'low-budget'-hotels aren't really in my budget . It's a shame that the flight-costs are so expensive.. .

By the way; I've been to the west coast previous summer, and it was SO great.. It was the holiday of a lifetime . I really felt comfortable in the US and had a great time ! I'll post some pictures in the future..!!

That's great. NY is extremely expensive. I went to visit for a weekend in October of 2006 to see a Broadway show. My friend and I stayed at the Millenenium Hotel on Broadway. It was expensive, but NOT as expensive as the others around. It was just a few blocks away from Times Square, too. Once you are NY, there are ways to save on costs, though. If you stay at a good location, you can walk to locations. You can find affordable restaurants, too....like Pizza and Hot dogs! LOL So, that is one tip I suggest. Pick a good location to stay, to save on costs elsewhere.

Just keep looking at expedia.com, travelocity,com, orbitz.com, priceline.com and those kinds of websites for good deals. You are bound to find something!
