Barb, you are so right I really should have kept a journel! but I didn't, I am a bit lazy to write things( shame shame). But I recorded everything! so i am sure it's fine Actually...temecula was not affected by the fires, but al the places around temecula were.At night you could really see the fires and a lot of smoke.I was scared, I didn't know it was that close!.Our trip to Hollywood got cancelled on mondag becauce most of the freeways were closed.BUt we went on wednesday so it's good:) And I love junkfood, so this was sort of heaven for me..all the burger places:D We went to La , Disney and Hollywood. We also saw the 3 high schools in Temecula, that was great, since our school system is very different from high schools in USA( we don't have cheerleaders, dramaclubs etc). Ooh don't worry Tatfan...I love Caliofornia even with smoke:P It's such a great place.I really want to live there one day!

I just looked into this place via Wikipedia...and it says it's right beside San Diego. That's crazy you had to deal with the fires. Were you in the middle of the fires or weren't you affected? I hope your host family is all right. Was your trip cut short because of it? Ooh and no it was planned that we had to go for 14 days.So we stayed 14 days. However the teachers ( who went with the trip) were afraid that we had to stay longer, beacuse there might not be a flight home.(because a lot of wind). But that didn't happen...too bad though, beacuse I really loved it there! and 14 days were way to short!
