Ok, I just got a new Macbook....my first time with a Mac ever. And I just have to say that I LOVE it! I don't think I'll ever go back to Windows. The programs, the operating system, just everything! It's definitely very creative...and FUN! I'm still learning short cuts and stuff, but I'm learning very quickly! ;D Right now the only problem I'm having is migrating my iTunes library to my Mac. My iPod is formated for a Windows computer, otheriwse I'd do it that way...and my CD burner is broke, so using the ethernet connection is my only hope. Right now it's being a pain and won't let me log into my PC. Anyone have this problem?

I am so excited you got a MAC, too! Honestly, the whole iTunes thing just got me frustrated, so I am just building my library over again and waiting until I am finished to transfer it to my iPod.
My first project on iPhoto is to create a slideshow of pictures of my dad and I through the years for my wedding reception. What I plan to do is have it playing while we dance the 'father/daughter' dance. Although, I am trying to figure out how to add to text during the slideshow. If you can help me with that, I'd really appreciate it!

Aww that sounds so nice! How about making it in iMovie instead? You can make a slideshow with that really easily, and you could use a theme and make it look elegant and professional.
I figured out the iTunes thing. I downloaded the free trial of XPlay (mediafour.com I think the address is), put it on my PC, restored my iPod so that it was Mac formatted, transferred the iTunes folder to my iPod, and then used that folder to replace the folder that's on my Mac. Seems complicated but it was actually pretty easy.
I would've backed up to DVD, but that just seemed time consuming, cause I'd have to put the files on my desktop cause my burner on my laptop is broke. And there's also using ethernet cables to hook-up to each other and that's really easy too, but I had a problem with the logging-in to my PC. Wouldn't accept my password for some reason, but other than that it was so easy.
If you need pages for directions for the other methods let me know and I can find them for you.

You have to save it as a .mov (Quicktime), which then becomes a .dv for some reason. I uploaded one, it worked on You Tube.
