Aww you guys make me want to have an actual wedding...but at the same time you are making me run the other way. LOL Our trip to the Bahamas will cost more than a wedding itself, but it would also be our honeymoon....so it evens out. He said if we he a big wedding/reception, the honeymoon would have to wait. LOL And I REALLY want to go to the Bahamas. If we go to the Bahamas...our reception takes a back seat and it will be incredibly simple. No details, no nothing. Just food and people. Maybe a couple minor things. Which I think I am ok with. I mean it's the Bahamas. LOL The only thing that is keeping me from it is I have 4 sisters who have families, and not all of them are financially able to make a trip to the Bahamas. I want at least my sisters to be able to go, but I don't think that's going to happen. Maybe my mom will fork over the money for their trips LOL ...I will discuss that with her at a later time though. I don't know if she would be all up for that, she's kind of tied to the church idea....Aside from my sisters, I have uncles and cousins I want to see there too, but I highly doubt that would EVER happen. We shall see. Maybe I could make it aware to everyone and they could have time to save up, if their little heart desires to go....eek. I hate this. I am SOOOOO torn. P.S. Both of your wedding ideas sound soooo great! We were thinking a September wedding, so that would've fit for it too! I expect lots of pictures from the both of you! I mean it!

thanks everybody! Barb, have you looked into destination wedding packages. I'm coming to find out that alot of wedding related packages offer some very good deals. It may offer cheaper airfares to your guests. It's worth checking out. Cee p.s. I'm gonna try getting a pic of my ring up again, sorry it's so big.

I was actually going to message Erika about her suggestions, but anyone who has a suggestion, I'm all for it. Disney has a wedding package that would work for me that is $4,000....but that's just the cost of the wedding and it only allows I think 18 guests. That's ok though cause there'd probably only be like 10-15 people going, including the two of us. I originally wanted Disney at first, but then Eric really wanted the Bahamas and so did I...however, my family talked us into Florida. That way more can come, and that's what I really want in the end. Besides...it'd be really cute to get married there!

I can definately help you plan that Disney wedding....It's so easy, too! They have all these options for you and all you have to do is choose! yay! Again, if you need any recommendations I can always help you. Plus, my best friend, who is also a Disney freak and works for the Disney Co., already has her wedding planned....but, she's not engaged yet! LOL Seriously, you can plan it online and its really simple...if you want convenience, I say go the Disney Way! Sooo exciting! And for such a small wedding, that is even more beneficial!!!

You need to order the Disney Weddings Planning DVD. I am sure you've gone to the website, right? www.disneyweddings.com? Do it now, bc it take a few weeks to get it. Oh and definately get started on their Wish Book. You can basically plan the whole thing (cake, flowers, etc.) and get an idea of the estimate cost of the whole thing.

I mean, to me thats the most magical. And the hotel where its at, Grand Floridian, is my favorite. For a wedding, I think its the best place to have it. Its very fancy and I think you'd want that. The hotel is pretty pricey, though. But there are times in the year where they are not so high. Definately plan on the summer ad fall to be a peak season. I say try for a Winter/Spring Wedding. January, Feb, or March (but early March because Spring Breaks tend to happen later in the month.) But your guests don't neccessarily have to stay there. You can talk to one of the reps and I am sure there must be hotel accomadations included. They could tell you all of the options. My next choice would be the Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian. Again, another favorite and you are still by the castle. The hotel is also pricey, but I am sure they have options for your guests. I don't think they HAVE to neccssarily stay there. I know if they stay in any of the other resorts, (not in the Magic Kingdom resorts) they have shuttle services for them to the wedding. They truly make everything very convenient.

They truly make everything very convenient. Ok, that helps a lot. ;D Thank you. I wanted something close to Magic Kingdom...and I wanted the Polynesian one, but it has a limit of 8 guests. Why, I don't know... I was also hoping that we are able to go to the castle and get some of our pictures taken there. When I choose the location, it doesn't include our hotel stay, so it doesn't matter which one I choose for that reason. It's just where we have the wedding. I'm a little worried that the wedding won't be special though...I don't want it to be something so simple. I want it to be worth $4,000. When I look at their other, more expensive packages, I kind of have my doubts. If you know of anyone who got married with the Escape package, let me know what they thought and if they'd suggest it.
