No, I think it's a waste of money. Congrats though, I hope you like it. Oh, and only people with AT&T (the previous Cingular) can get it.

I love all things MAC. I own a Mac. But its a little out of my price range and I will stick to my Blackberry. I think its a very cool gadget. And I understand the concept. It is functiona, but for a professional, how often could you REALLY use it. By that I mean, I assume you are too busy for it to use it at its fullest capacity so often. I have an ipod and I listen to it in my car and on flights. No where else. So I have it when I need it and it isn't a bother because its so small. Anyways, my point is, I think its an incredible device. I am sure in the future there will be more of its kind and the price will go down. But, for right now, I will enjoy my other mac devices for which I spent a lot of money for already! LOL

My thoughts are if you have AT&T and are looking into getting the new touch screen iPod, then you should probably just go for the iPhone because the phone function is all that's missing.
However, if you don't plan to use it for it's music and video...then it's a big waste of money. Also, I have heard so many bad things about the rates. You can't have a regular plan with it...you have to get a PDA unlimited data plan, that will cost you an additional $40 per month.
I have the Blackjack myself, and could never imagine getting the iPhone. I think it's a waste, but I'm sure it's a great phone for some people. I did have internet with mine but got rid of it due to not using it.
