ugh im still waiting for mine so i cant answer but im guessing its the original movies with everything intact. the only times they show it with stuff cut out is when they show it in 4 different parts. at least im hoping im right! lol

Mine isn't here yet either. I've noticed Amazon's slacking in the shipping department lately. It used to be fast, but the last few orders I've had with them were slow. Or should I say USPS is slow. I prefer UPS or FedEx. Which makes me mad, cause I actually paid for my shipping this time to have the standard shipping instead of the Super Saver Shipping, and that's usually UPS. Anyways, mine's suppose to be here anywhere from the 10th to the 15th. And I was at Wal-Mart last night and didn't see it at mine.  |

Ok...my thoughts on this movie: First off, I am thrilled to see this on DVD. My VHS recording is totally shot. It was so old, and I watched it so much it began to fade and the film eventually snapped. I was well-overdue for a DVD. Anyways, I loved to see the show outside of the school building. My favorite scenes are the ones at the hotel where they are swimming and being themselves, playing football, kicking the principals out of the hotel, and the luau. I think my first SBTB memory is when this aired, so it holds a special place in my heart. I couldn't imagine a movie at any other location, and I love that it's Kelly's grandfather's place. When I met Dennis, at his tour, he mentioned that a lot of fans ask him to do his professor impression from this movie a lot...and he did it for us. LOL Just a little info for ya. |

i noticed that watching it on dvd it was so much clearer than i remember seeing it on tv. ive only seen it in reruns not when it originally aired. you really felt like you were in hawaii with them. i was always kind of annoyed though that they never mentioned zacks girlfriend that he met there ever again.lol and at the end hes so sad to leave her. i liked seeing zack with her daughter jennifer though. it made him seem like a really good guy not just a schemer. when the said kelly's grandpa is getting old hes almost 60. 60 pretty young especially for having a teenage grandaughter. lol that just made me laugh a bit.

This is something that has got me thinking about the story line as an adult....have you guys ever wondered about Kelly and Zack dating older people. I mean, as a child, I never gave it much thought. But as an adult, I don't know if its "ok". I mean, Kelly was hooking up with a lawyer. In character sense, Kelly was probably 17 or so. And Brian, was probably 24-26? Isn't that too old for her? And the same for Zack. Andrea had a 5-6 year old child....which probably made her 21-23? Maybe?? What do you think of it all???

Jeff, Brian, and Laskey...hmm. LOL Brian would probably be about 26-28 actually. And Andrea missed her high school graduation and Jennifer was 4, so that would make her 22. I was discussing this with Renee a few nights ago on AIM...but SBTB didn't do so well with giving kids great relationship advice. I mean they fixed the whole Andrea scenario by saying Zack should go to school...but for Zack to want to even do it kinda sits weird with me. And we were talking about SBTB: Wedding in Las Vegas. Zack and Kelly got married at 19. Zack didn't even have a job, and Kelly said herself that the job at the clinic barely paid for her books. Then ontop of that, they barely had been dating. I could go on and on about that, but we're talking about Hawaiian Style now LOL I know it's just a tv show...and normally that stuff wouldn't phase me. But SBTB never got past talk of making out because they wanted to set a good example for young kids. LOL Just kinda funny. |

HAHA yes i was thinking about that too guys! with zack and kelly dating older people. for some reason it seems weirder to me that kelly was dating those older guys than zack dating andrea. i mean im kinda surprised kelly's grandfather was ok with them dating. shes freaking 17! LOL and shes going off with him on private boats. not a good example for young girls if you ask me. yeah ill save my marrying with no job rant for the next thread. haha i was actually just showing these movies to my best friend who had never seen them. its fun to get the point of view of a non long time fan. she pretty much agreed with all of that!
