Now this is what being in the spotlight should be all about. Taking responsibility and giving back! WE love you Elizabeth!!! Sure, you've seen Showgirls. But MTV plans to display a very different side of Elizabeth Berkley.
The former Saved by the Bell actress is working with the network to develop a new reality show based around the self-esteem workshops she runs for adolescent girls.
"She does these workshops around the country with teen girls and gets them to really open up about self-esteem and body issues," Amy Bailey – MTV's vice president of development News & Documentaries – told Hollywood Reporter. "We had been looking for a program that tackled the same issues, so it seemed like a perfect match."
Berkley, 35, developed the Ask-Elizabeth workshops with her husband Greg Lauren (nephew of designer Ralph Lauren), and has been conducting them with schools and youth groups for more than two years.
The network plans to shoot the pilot (working title: Ask-Elizabeth) this fall.
"It'll be more than just films of her workshops," Bailey added. "We'll film with Elizabeth and girls around the country in their own hometowns and watch as the events unfold."
The host of Bravo's Step It Up and Dance, Berkley has also signed on to appear in multiple episodes of Showtime's The L Word.Credit: www.people.com/people/article/0,,20214930,00.html?xid=rss-topheadlines news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080725/tv_nm/berkley_dc_1

That is very cool news! It's good to hear that she is doing something really positive like that.
