I've been on this forum for awhile and have made great friends. I always look forward to coming here. Since I've been here for so long I feel confortable enough to ask a fovor of you all. Back in May, my dad was diagnosed with Colonrectal Cancer. He has 8 tumors on his liver, but because it has also spread into his blood a liver transplant is out of the question. Today was his 4th round of chemo and he found out that 2 tumors have grown a bit, 4 are the same size and 2 have gotten smaller. It is very stressful and our family is working hard to keep our spirits up. I do live with my parents and managed to brighten my dads day by telling him that although 4 of the tumors haven't gotten smaller, they haven't gotten bigger either. All I ask is for your prayers. It would be greatly appreciated.

Jenn,
Prayers have been spoken to our LORD and His Holy Spirit has carried them to the Father's ear. May you find peace and strength in knowing your friends here are there for you.
Your friend, Ray

Today I asked my mom the question I didn't want the answer to. 2 of the tumors that have grown are the ones that we really needed to shrink. It's not looking good right now, but the doctors have not said anything about ending his chemo. Next week will be his 5th week. He is actually sceduled for 15 treatments. I'm am trying very hard to stay strong for my own health and for my both my parents. My dads spirits are still high. I thank you all for keeping us in your prayers. Having my SBTB family's support means so much to me.

I went through something similar with my dad back in 2004. He had a tumor in his head(attached to his brain). Doctors gave us a 50-50 chance, but thankfully he's alive. I'll be praying for your family Jenn.

I can't thank you all enough for your prayers! It means more to me than you know. Next week he goes for his 6th chemo treatment. We all know that it's just buying time, so we're staying as positive as we can by laughing together and spending lots of time together. We always did that anyway. My mom did confirm to me yesterday that he does have stage4 colonrectal cancer. He is fortunate to be handling the chemo pretty good. Tell and show your loved ones how much you love them as often as you can. I'm glad I always have.
