Okay, so in the episode "Do the Write Thing" Katie completely makes up an article about the football team not doing their work and still getting decent grades because the teachers are giving the players extra leeway. When it's proven to be completely untrue, Mr. Belding finds out and punishes Katie.
But the only way he punishes her is removing her as school newspaper editor. That's it? Even after printing an article full of lies that demeans the football team and the school? Wouldn't Katie at least get a week of detention (if not a harsher sentence) as well?
