“Saved by the Bell” star Elizabeth Berkley knows exactly how it feels to be a teenager with the pressures of everyday life, struggling with grades, image and even drug addiction, as she played the over-achieving Jessie Spano on the token 90s show.
Now she’s taking those struggles and answers to the pages of her very own book: “ASK ELIZABETH: Real Answers to Everything You Secretly Wanted to Ask About Love, Friends, Your Body…And Life in General." Spawning from a series of her own self-esteem workshops, her book (out spring 2011) will be a guide for young teens struggling with typical worries too embarrassing to talk about with mom, Mr. Belding or any other adult for that matter.
"My mission is to give girls the tools to be able to blossom into their best selves," Elizabeth said in a press release. "Whether through taking care of their bodies, minds, or hearts, aligning with that inner voice that tells them what is true and right for them, or holding on to what makes them special even when they feel they’ve lost their way."
Elizabeth has also rounded up some of her Hollywood friends, including Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere and Eva Mendes to help in endorsing her non-profit workshops, "ASK ELIZABETH." The big-sister style discussions has even prompted Oprah to jump on board, giving Elizabeth her very own column on Oprah.com beginning this month!

That's really cool! I wonder what her book is going to be like. I do like the whole idea behind it. Nice to see people putting so much effort in something they care about.
