I don't know if any of you remember or even know this, but a while back(late 80's or so), Mario Lopez was on a diving board and was getting ready to perform a move diving into the pool, where when he jumped, as he was going down, his head hit the board and he nearly broke his neck. I remember hearing about this a while back and even my dad told me about it. I'm assuming it was the late 80's though. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Yeah, in a movie called Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis Story he played an olympic diver (Greg Louganis) who in real life hit his head on the board not Mario. The diver was also gay and had AIDS, just so you know. That's kind of why they made the movie.

Has anyone seen that movie? I can't find it anywhere here where I live. Does he give a good performance? I do know about Greg Louganis story.

I've never seen it but everything that i've read about it says that he gave a really good performance. I don't know where you can find it though. i would like to see it too.

I have seen the movie and I recorded it from TV. Mario did a VERY GOOD job. There is one scene where Greg's lover does something really wrong to Greg and Mario was great in that scene. I have read where Mario said he got a little thingyy on the diving board and hit the water wrong and knocked the wind out of himself and got some whelps on his body from it. It plays in TV ever once in a while.

You wouldnt believe the number of emails I had after the airing of Over There saying 'Is it true Zack was killed in Iraq?' No...it's just TV!!!

PC, are you kidding? There are people actually e-mailing you asking if Zack Morris was killed in Iraq? That is just to ridiculous!
Sorry about going off topic there. I'm sure I can hunt down a DVD of the movie somewhere. I'm very interested in seeing Mario's performance!
