Hispanic Stars Fight for Life of Young Mom Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Murciano and Mario Lopez are on a mission of mercy: to save Janet Ovalles' life. The young, single Hispanic mother from Queens is battling non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is awaiting a bone marrow transplant. See how her story touched these stars and what they are doing to help. Plus, how you can assist in the fight to keep Janet alive. Saw it on Extra tonight. I wanted to share it with everyone. www.extratv.com There is a video clip from tonight's segment on there...scroll to the bottom left hand side.

I tape all these entertainment shows and just went and watched Extra. That is so great what these stars are doing! Mario already had my respect, but hearing about him doing things like this just makes me admire him even more! I hope this mother gets what she needs!

Hey Gang, I just read this post from Erika (and watched the video) and want to applaud Mario and others for taking up the cause of this woman and mother. I battled a deadly illness less than two years ago that came within 10% of taking my life. I lay there with tubes running out of me and a machine breathing for me, and all the while I had a wife and two kids that could do nothing but watch and pray. And that's exactly what Janet faces, her and her son Jason. I was asked by someone here on the forum to pray for Janet and Jason. As some of you know I am a Christian and so I don't mind praying a prayer here for them. I do know there are others here who are not Christian and hope this doesn't offend. Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you today asking you to spare the life of Janet. I ask that you watch over her and provide the donor she so desperately needs. Watch over her and protect her, and if it is your will save her from her illness. If your will is to bring her to you in heaven, please help those close to her to understand. Please be with her son Jason as he tries to understand why this is happening to his mom. Give them both the courage and strength to face whatever lies ahead. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen. The Friar

Thanks QK. I just prayed from my heart knowing that God always listens. He may not answer things the way we want them answered, but He knows best, and in Him I trust. The Friar
