I have contacted Barb and she said it is fine for me to post this because this info is confirmed. Last week, I'm going to find out which day it was, "Extra" had Shanna Moekler as a guest correspondent and she was interviewing Mario and Karina. Shanna looked at Mario and said rumor has it that he has been offered a part on "The Producers"! Mario said thank you, because Shanna said it in a way to compliment him and Mario basically said that it hasn't been confirmed yet! I KNOW I have this interview somewhere and I'll find it ASAP so that I can post the exact words.  |

I heard this on E!. Ryan Seacrest was inteview Mario via phone and asked him about the Dirty Dancing Movie Remake. Mario said that was news to him but he had been invited to Broadway for the Producers. He said the problem with that is he can't sing, but he was going to go to NY and talk about it.

Mario has just confirmed on "Extra" that he will be the lead on "A Chorus Line" on Broadway in New York! He said he just signed the deal.
WAY TO GO MARIO!!! ;D

From what I remember from "A Chorus Line" (I've done several dance routines with some of the songs from the musical), the role he is playing is the "director". He just has speaking lines....not singing. "Step, kick, kick...again!" etc. |
