Elizabeth has been cast as Gamile Cartell in the upcoming Broadway show "The Cartells". The play is described as being about a wealthy oil family having too much fun in an Aaron Spelling kind of way. Its' a four-part takeoff of prime-time soap operas, to be performed on consecutive Monday nights beginning October 16. Elizabeth will act opposite actors such as Tony Award winners Joanna Gleason, Cady Huffman, Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James and lead star Peter Frechette. For audience members who miss an episode, each weekly performance will begin with "Previously on The Cartells…" The four episodes are titled "The Eye of the Needle" (October 16), "Far Above Rubies" (October 23), "Perish the Sword" (October 30) and "Cast a Stone" (November 6).
Elizabeth will probably won't be in the 24h Plays becuase of schedule conflicts.

The "pilot" episode was critically acclaimed! Some of the reviewers wrote:
"...the whole cast goes at it full blast, making every scene riotously funny..."
"...It’s the fun of watching seasoned professionals working under such spontaneous conditions, as well as the extremely funny script, that makes the hour-long show such a blast..."
"..."The Cartells" didn't just get laughs for being funny. It got laughs for being smart, whimsical, absurd — even self-aware..."
It seems Elizabeth stage career is going a lot better than her movie one. All her performances in her recent Broadway shows were critically acclaimed. And 10 years ago people told "Showgirls" had distroyed her career....
