Hey all! FOX will be reshowing Dustin's celebrity boxing night this upcoming thursday 8/12/04, at 8:30pm EST. Please watch it for me and report back, I have to visit friends who don't own a tv.

Hey, that's great! Here's a summary of what happened. I once had it up at the website. My boxing fan friend wrote up a play by play for me. (If that even makes sense) LOL " Dustin Diamond is nerdy "Screech" no more when he stopped Ron "Horshack" Palillo, from Welcome Back, Kotter, in the 2nd round of their Celebrity Boxing fight. The taller Diamond landed body shots continually in the first round and even played to the crowd when Palillo couldn't get inside. When Palillo dropped his hands to cover his body, Diamond peppered him with jabs and power rights, which seemed to keep Palillo moving backward. Palillo tried to press an attack at the opening bell of the second round, but Diamond countered with a straight right that sent Palillo to the canvas nine seconds into the round. Undaunted, Palillo went straight after Diamond, but was caught by jab-cross combinations that forced a standing 8-count. Moments later, Diamond hit another right-left combination to the top of the head that floored Palillo for the second time, forcing referee Lou Moret to stop the fight at 1:23 of Round Two. The winner via TKO, Dustin Diamond left no room for Palillo to be "saved by the bell".  |
