Does anyone else remember the robot Screech invented during the 4th or 5th season of the New Class? The robot was designed to dust in Mr. Belding's office and organize his files. I think Screech made it to help Eric win a Science Fair project. The best part is that the robot talked and said "Zoinks!"
Does anyone have an picture of that robot or know its name?

I've now watched the entire episode - it's entitled "Science Fair." Anyway, the name of the robot is "Robot." I didn't like this robot as much as Screech's robot Kevin from the original series. The new robot didn't even really look like a real robot and walked like a human. Also the second robot has eyebrows for some strange reason. Kevin at least looked like a real robot that Screech could play chess against.

Kevin sure was a great robot. I wish they would have had more of Kevin in the episodes. They could have done a saturday morning cartoon spinoff with Screech and Kevin Adventures. I would have watched it.

A cartoon with Screech and Kevin would have been awesome! It would have been better than many of the cartoons on at the time. Remember the Hulk Hogan cartoon? No way could it possibly have been worse than that. ;D

I heard that the Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling cartoon was coming to DVD soon...

Are you serious? Hulk Hogan was always my favorite wrestler when I was a kid, but his cartoon was so stupid.

I found a picture of Screech's robot from the New Class. Screech is obviously some kind of genius, because he designed and built this robot in a couple hours.

no this robot is no Kevin. I wish they would have developed the Kevin character more and had him in more scenes and have an episode revolve around him.

Kevin was a great robot. However, we wasn't the most mobile robot - e.g., he had a limited range of motion due to his clunky shape. As I recall, Kevin's arms didn't appear to be very flexible and it didn't appear as though he had an ability to bend at his robotic waist.
Screech needed a new robot that would be able to bend over and reach down to dust and organize files in Mr. Belding's office. That's why he created "Robot." In the Science Fair episode, Robot moves quickly around Mr. Belding's office while dusting and organzing a file cabinet. Robot even talks like Screech - he says "Sheesh" and "Zoinks!"

I love that picture of Robot! But I agree that Kevin was the greatest Robot of all times, even better than Vicki the Robot from Small wonder! That would have been cool if Vicki the Robot and Kevin went out on dates and lived in Screech's room! I bet Screech would have gotten jealous!

No, as I recall Kevin was only in a couple episodes during the first season of Saved By the Bell. As far as I can tell, Screech never did mention Kevin in any other episodes. Apparently Screech and Kevin has a major falling out. Maybe Kevin was stealing Screech's Atari games or something?

^^^ LOL
I wonder what the studio did with all the SBTB props. I'd buy the Kevin or Robot prop in an instant. I'd also have a life size cardboard cut out of Screech next to it. It'd look really kewl right next to my Zack Morris poster and Teen Beat magazines.
