It looks like Diamond is going to act like a fool on Celebrity Fit Club. Here is a quote from an interview TV guide did with Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) about the show.
TVGuide.com: Alas, for every Brady-like bunch, there's a trouble-making Cousin Oliver who totally kills a group dynamic. So give us the scoop: Is it true that you and other Fit Club stars walked off the set when Dustin Diamond launched into a lewd, expletive-laced rant against Kimberley Locke — effectively leaving him to film his remaining scenes apart from the cast? McCormick: Oh, my gosh. The things he was saying were extremely offensive, I could no longer stay and be a part of it. He was even telling jokes about mentally retarded people, and I have a brother who is handicapped. He went lower than low. We all wanted to work with Dustin and have him be part of our team and be part of the family, because it was a family, so it was sad [what transpired]. I think there were seven of us whose lives changed in a huge way, so the positives of the show totally outweighed [the Diamond drama].
Why can't this guy ever be decent? He constantly acts like an ass.

Argh. Again, he dissappoints. Honestly, I updated the website about the show. But I totally didn't want to. But I know there still "fans" of his. He's so embarrassing. I will watch it, though. But I know the moment I actually see for my own eyes the kind of mouth he can have, I'll probably turn it off. Does he actually think he's funny??

Went and watched his comedy show in Omaha Nebraska and it was very lewd and sadly not very funny. I did get my picture taken with him. Not sure if it was worth the $10 bucks I spent. Did he ever save his house that he was selling all of those T-shirts for?

Husker, Dustin claims to have sold well over 10,000 shirts (possibly 20,000 - I can't remember). However, he didn't use that money to pay off the mortgage. Instead, he got a new mortgage, which he could have done anyway without selling a single shirt. See www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=583891 Screech, the one-time child actor also known as Dustin Diamond, was finally able to get a mortgage for his house in Port Washington - the same one he claimed he might lose if enough suckers didn't send him money for shirts that said, "I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's house."
A lawsuit filed by local developers B&L of Grafton in Ozaukee County Circuit Court stated that he bought the place in June 2003 for $340,000 on a land contract. Of that, he put down $68,000.
The remaining $272,000 was to be paid by the end of 2004, but Diamond defaulted, according to the suit.
He's out of that particular pickle, now.
According to documents filed in the Ozaukee County Register of Deeds office in late January, the "Saved by the Bell" geek was able to secure a $284,000 adjustable-rate mortgage from Madison Home Equities in New York at an initial interest rate of 11.6% - which means interest payments alone will be roughly the size of a small bank vault.
Or a Hollywood ego.
The foreclosure lawsuit has been dismissed as a result, according to court records, and Screech - who does not have a listed phone number - is apparently out of the woods. The really dumb part is that Dustin has to pay over 11% interest on his mortgage. Why didn't he use any of the t-shirt money to at least pay down part of his mortgage? I guess he can only borrow money from subprime lenders because he declared bankruptcy a few years ago and his credit is awful. He must think that he'll make money off of the appreciation of his house. However, what he apparently hasn't considered is that he will have to pay over $30,000 per year in interest payments on a house that is worth less than $400,000. There is simply no way that his property is going to appreciate enough to offset those interest payments, even after accounting for the tax benefits of home ownership. I guess it's true that a fool and his money are soon parted. Or, as Gordon Gekko said in the great movie Wall Street: "A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place!"

I still don't understand why Diamond is even on Celebrity Fit Club. He's a little chubby, but he's definitely not obese. I think that Dennis Haskins or Jack Angeles (the guy who played Mr. Tuttle) would have been better SBTB choices, as both are dangerously overweight. I would have loved to have heard some war stories from Dennis or Jack. I'd definitely like to know what Jack Angeles thought about that scene where he taught Driver's Ed with golf carts in the Bayside hallways instead of outside on streets in real cars. Also, I'm sure that both of those guys probably played some practical jokes or tricks on the Bayside gang that they would love to talk about.

pouskin74, please refrain from swearing and posting unintelligble gibberish in this forum. This forum was set up for SBTB fans to discuss the show and the actors on the show in a civilized manner.

I saw a preview for the new Celebrity Fit Club show on VH1 today. The entire preview was focused on Dustin and how disruptive he was during the taping of the show. Apparently Dustin talked back and challenged the miltary-type weight loss guru on the show to a fight during a weigh-in, and that guy looked enraged and screamed something to the effect that he would give Dustin a bad beating.

Screech isn't fat by most standards, well isn't in bear territory, yet. I guess the producers thought that he would be a controversial inclusion to the cast, so I guess they got what they wanted when he started acting obnoxious and threatening towards other contestants. I guess he has some issues he needs to work out.

Anyone watch the show last night. Dustin has put on some lbs. He is making a run at Dennis Haskins. He is really over the top in the show. Must still be with his girlfriend because she was on the show.
