Dustin isn't morbidly obese, but he's definitely fatter and far more out of shape than I thought he was. There was a scene were they showed him doing a long jump, and he carries so much weight in his mid-section that it completely throws off his balance and he hunches over a bit. He weighed in at 217 lbs and claims to have weighed 110 lbs when he played Screech. That is an awful lot of weight to gain in one's 20s and is very unhealthy. Here's a video from Dustin's myspace concerning his appearance on the first episode. This includes extended scenes not show in yesterday's epsiode: vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=2024474828

There's just nothing to like about him anymore. The less attention he's given, the better.

This is what Dustin looks like now. And no, this is not a photoshopped image. During the Celebrity Fit Club episode yesterday they showed Dustin laying down on his couch with a can of Cheeze Whiz and spraying it right into his mouth and he ate a lot of it - it was kind of gross.

He might be emphasizing it himself (cause we all know he likes to do that, and it looks like he is). I know if I push my stomach out it can do that. LOL He's only a little over 200, for his height that's not bad.

Barb, they panned the camera around him and he did not seem to be intentionally sticking out his stomach. It is possible that he was spraying Cheeze Whiz into his mouth in front of the camera because he thought it would be funny, but he wasn't smiling or anything like that.
Dustin is fairly tall, so 217 lbs might not seem like that much on some people his height. However, it seems like a lot on his frame because it is primarily concentrated in his midsection. His arms and face don't really look that flabby right now, but I have heard that the massive concentration of body fat in the mid-section of men greatly increases their risk of developing diabetes and heart disease. Also, based on his slightly hunched-over posture when he was shown running, I suspect that he'll also develop lower back problems over time due to this excess weight.
Dustin is only 30 years old, but he's setting himself up for health problems down the road if he doesn't start taking care of himself.

Dustin wrote on his blog that the producers told everyone to be chime in and comment when other people were being weighed in. However, whenever Dustin talked, everyone else seemed to become angry with him.
Honestly, even though he's being obnoxious, he is the star of this season's Celebrity Fit Club. I'm sure that there are many people only watching because of him. I wouldn't watch more than one episode of this season's show if he weren't on it.
I would also have liked to see Dennis Haskins on the show, because everybody always seems to like him and he could definitely stand to lose some weight.
They should have had a team of all SBTB actors. It would have been awesome if Haskins and Jack Angeles (Tuttle) had also been on the show. I also would have liked to have seen the guy that played Ox on the show. What happened to that guy?

Husker, Dustin claims to have sold well over 10,000 shirts (possibly 20,000 - I can't remember). However, he didn't use that money to pay off the mortgage. Instead, he got a new mortgage, which he could have done anyway without selling a single shirt. See www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=583891 Screech, the one-time child actor also known as Dustin Diamond, was finally able to get a mortgage for his house in Port Washington - the same one he claimed he might lose if enough suckers didn't send him money for shirts that said, "I paid $15.00 to save Screeech's house."
A lawsuit filed by local developers B&L of Grafton in Ozaukee County Circuit Court stated that he bought the place in June 2003 for $340,000 on a land contract. Of that, he put down $68,000.
The remaining $272,000 was to be paid by the end of 2004, but Diamond defaulted, according to the suit.
He's out of that particular pickle, now.
According to documents filed in the Ozaukee County Register of Deeds office in late January, the "Saved by the Bell" geek was able to secure a $284,000 adjustable-rate mortgage from Madison Home Equities in New York at an initial interest rate of 11.6% - which means interest payments alone will be roughly the size of a small bank vault.
Or a Hollywood ego.
The foreclosure lawsuit has been dismissed as a result, according to court records, and Screech - who does not have a listed phone number - is apparently out of the woods. The really dumb part is that Dustin has to pay over 11% interest on his mortgage. Why didn't he use any of the t-shirt money to at least pay down part of his mortgage? I guess he can only borrow money from subprime lenders because he declared bankruptcy a few years ago and his credit is awful. He must think that he'll make money off of the appreciation of his house. However, what he apparently hasn't considered is that he will have to pay over $30,000 per year in interest payments on a house that is worth less than $400,000. There is simply no way that his property is going to appreciate enough to offset those interest payments, even after accounting for the tax benefits of home ownership. I guess it's true that a fool and his money are soon parted. Or, as Gordon Gekko said in the great movie Wall Street: "A fool and his money are lucky enough to get together in the first place!" The really crazy part that since it's an adjustable rate mortgage, that means after a few years the lender and (and probably will) increase the interest rate. Thus putting him in the same position he was in in the first place

Dustin Diamond is upset with the way he is being portrayed on Celebrity Fit Club and now intends to sue the show's producers. He wrote this bulletin on MySpace: May 3, 2007 7:23 AM Subject The Deadline has come. Body: I was forced to have my attorneys issue a deadline to creators of VH1's Celebrity Fit Club. While I have not spoken publicly on the subject, and only offer my blog recaps to my Myspace Friends, the time has come. I will be preparing a statement today on the current situation between Granada and myself, as well as the show. For those who have enjoyed my blogs.....get ready. To those castmates that have been fortunate enough in the edits to have their secrets kept.....no more.

I can't figure out how he expects to win a lawsuit against the producers. Aren't the contracts for those shows pretty much airtight?
