So if we ever hired Dustin to perform we would have to abide by these rules and sign on the dotted line. www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/screech/screech1.htmlI really don`t find his demands outrageous. I do think he needs to realize that the only reason he gets hired is because he was Screech. I think he just needs to embrace the past and stop fighting it.

Maybe it has something to do with copyright issues? Since he's not working with NBC or Peter Engel Productions? Like he doesn't want people to get the wrong impression....his act does not have anything to do with SBTB..... Just a thought. Honestly, I think he uses the character only when he'll benefit from it...i.e. the whole house thing. "save screeech's house". Just my opinion

The only things I find funny are the foods, such as the Red Bull. LOL Other than that, a little weird, but you have to set boundaries otherwise you will be taken advantage of, or it won't be taken care of at all. I'm sure there are much weirder contracts, and very strict contracts. Too many scams...he needs to write up in his contract when the money is due instead of focusing so much on the other things. I also find it funny that he says he needs 2 weeks notice for cancellations, yet he would stand people up the day-of for his own commitments.

I expect some of it is to do with copyright (wasn't that how come he had to spell Screech differently when he was selling t-shirts), but I also think its a shame he seems to want to forget all about Screech as that was the character that made his name.

I did not find it that way at all. He said the name Screech could be in the headline, but he is not Screech and Dusin should be larger than Screech. I don't blame him. He is not Screech, he is Dustin.

The two week notice part is pretty hypocritical, but the rest of it is pretty reasonable. I've seen TV shows where they talk about stars demands and they are ridiculous.

If he were doing a stand-up routine where he dressed as Screech the entire time and only referred to himself as Screech and the entire topic of his routine was related to Saved By the Bell, there might be a legal issue with the holders of the Saved By The Bell trademarks. However, that is not the case.
Dustin is having difficulty breaking away from the Screech character. He needs to face reality and realize that the Screech character is his claim to fame and he'll never get another decent acting job doing anything unrelated to the Screech character. Don't forget that when he was practically extorting money from his t-shirt scam last year, he marketed himself as Screech.
