From what I hear Dustin wasn't really friends with any of the cast of SBTB. I know it's because he was younger and the odd man out but you think by the last few seasons they would have outgrown that phase of excluding Dustin and Dustin would have hung out with them more?

I don't know the whole story. The psychoterapist on Celebrity Fit Club said that Dustin was a lonely guy and that it was his choice to isolate himself on the Saved By The Bell set. Who knows what really happened?
I guess that Dustin was pretty good friends with Dennis Haskins. I think they visited some colleges together a couple times as part of a comedy tour.

Yes I did remember reading somewhere that Dennis Haskins was the only member of the cast he was ever really close too and actually still speaks too.

Pure speculation on my part, but since he was so much younger he probably got used to not really hanging out with the others, which probably made it harder for him with it when he did get a little older. Introverts are a lot of times very insecure. *not always*
